it shouldn't be harder for you to quickly make the table for your teams. Also as I used this time the 2016 db as base, I'm not sure if some equipment IDs have changed.

What do you think Matt/Bikex?
I'm no MG reporter currently, so I don't quite know how that exactly works, but afaik it doesn't really make a difference to other uploading sites. You still have to upload and link the pictures. If someone can explain me the advantage of that, I surely can be convinced. However the (Super)Admins will have to agree on that. |

Will it? I mean it's not anywhere near as many pics as the MG and normally when I report - not sure about you guys - I just copy paste the imgur url and put a caption below for ICL.
Got to ask roturn or SN - even though he's not really alive currently - about this one but I don't see many benefits to make it worth it especially because I'm pretty sure bandwidth limits will apply sooner or later to the MG FTP.

I'd rather continue using photobucket, just used it to and the few pics in each post really don't matter that much. But I'm open for changes if need be.

I'll now make a deadline for the planning of January/February races. Tomorrow 12.00 CEST, so about 12 hours from now. I won't have internet from Friday to Sunday and would like to be able to plan for the first races already before that. The deadline for the full planning will then be Sunday.
If you don't send in your January/February races until in 12 hours, I'll make the startlists for that and you'll have to use that for your full planning then. |

Scouting Round 1
It's time for the first scouting file: https://www.mediafire.com/?6x3fg6ndse...6ndsegbn7v
Note: This season is the first time the riders were not generated by PCM(13). I made an algorithm for the stats and also the names. It's possible that there are some very weird/unrealistic names included. If you find one PM me and you get the right to change the name.
As the stats were already quite unbalanced when generated by PCM, I'm not too woried about how they're balanced. In general they are stronger than in the last seasons.
Read the following guide:
#1 First thing to do is add your Team ID in C2. If you forgot your Team ID you can check it in the table "Teams". There you can also check your Talent Focus budget (Column C, the number in Column D is at the moment not important for you).
#2 Browse the available talents in table "Talents". You will notice that the data is very inaccurate. In the potential box you can't see anything and the stats are split into 3 numbers. 1 stands for stats that are lower than 59, 2 are the stats 59 - 65 and 3 are all stats that are above 65.
#3 You can do three things with the riders: 1. Scout on them; 2. Scout them more accurate then you did before; 3. Sign a rider. In round 1 only step 1 is important, you can sign riders from round 2 onwards.
You can either scout a rider on his potential or on more specific stats. In each case Scouting can be done on 4 different levels, while the first level of the stats is already displayed. Check the table "Prices" for more information and the price list. If you have decided to scout a rider write the level of information you want to get on the potential (column W) or on the stats (column X). It is recommended not to scout a rider on the highest level in round 1, as you can get more information in the next round if you are still interested.
#4 If you are done, go to the table "PM", copy columns A - I and send it to me as a table. You will get the information on the riders soon after.
It is recommended to leave some money in the bank after this round, as riders wages can be paid out of your scouting budget of this season. If not the wage will be paid out of the budget of next season.
Since generally not much is left for scouting by the most teams, I lowered the scouting prices. Also the scouting for stats is put one level lower, so you get the exact stats already with scouting level 3.
This season there are 6 potential 7 riders included. More than last year but less than before.
Even if you have left nothing for scouting, you can scout riders, since every team gets a bonus of 100 for scouting.
No deadline for now. |

I had also an idea that in round 3 teams can pay 50 and get to see a list with riders from their focus countries that were not signed or scouted yet including all stats and potential. They then can choose some more riders to sign from that list.
Good or bad idea? |

not a good idea, cause regions have a direct influence on the outcome I guess which would favour some and might not be wanted - also I like the risk of taking semi-good riders in scouting and thus making it more of a gamble, even in round 3
edit: on another thought I really like it, cause it adds some realism to the game...but then I fear that teams like Leopard (6 nations) will have a bigger advantage on f.e. Coldeportes (1 nation) by this, so I am not sure whether it's possible to satisfy every (active) member of ICL with this...

Nationality has only a very small influence on the potential. The reason bigger countries get better riders is mostly due to them having much more riders generated.
This also wouldn't take the chance away to sign semi-good riders in round 3 as it would only include riders not signed in rounds 2+3.
Usually the best riders are already signed until then, from any nation. The list from only Colombia should contain similarly good riders as it would be with your list with 6 nations. Only the randomness will decide what list has the better riders in it.
I'm kind of convinced by my idea. I think I'll introduce it into the game like this: Every team that has scouted on riders will get a list like this for free after round 3. It can be seen as kind of a side-effect from the scouts looking into your focus countries. Also some teams have already used up all their scouting money in round 1, so it would be unfair to them if I put up a price for this. Teams that did not scout before will have to pay for the list. It is almost impossible such a list will include an potential 7 talent, it is very unlikely it will contain a potential 6. I think this could work out quite well and give teams a chance to sign a youth rider, that had not much luck in the earlier rounds.
If there are big protests against this rule, I will not implement it. So if you are against it, speak up.
-------
Also generally for teams that have bigger interest in specific regions(like Basque Country) PM me and I can send you the rider IDs that are from there, so you can scout them. |

This is probably a silly question, but I just can't quite figure it out:
Do we write the cost of price in the stats or potential column (for example 5 for level 1) or level 1, 2, etc.?

You write down the level and a formula will calculate the costs for you.

Oh my god, now I know what the issue was, I kept on writing "Level 1" instead of just "1", yeah I feel pretty stupid now.
Thanks a lot Selwink.

Is it only primary focus nation or also secondary nation included? I don't think it'll matter much tho so go ahead.
