Possibly the least lucrative stage race I've ever been involved in. Thanks for the reports though jph, stellar work.

Great race reports from you jph and from a neutral point of view it was a good race to follow. Strange tactics from some teams at the end there, and agree that Roman will not be happy...

Thank you for a very well reported race, jph27.
After a complete no show the whole race, which was just as expected, Hoelgaard gives us a perfect end with the stage win, and suddenly we at least run away with a few, few points. Thrilled for the win, it's another Norwegian kid tasting success.
Velits and Sagan dropping down to Vesely though... That must be one of the weirdest, if not the weirdest, call made by the AI in this PCM edition. Feel sorry for you, Roman! |

Not cool to gain a GC place that way..
To sum it up quickly: had hoped for better stage results, but three in GC Top-20, including BBobridge on 8, will do. Morton though disappointing in the mmountain stage.

Awesome job jph, great to managed to make this chaos of a race pretty simple to follow.
Gotta feel for Roman here. Cant remember to ever seeing someone so unlucky

Abosulte shit race with absolutely fantastic reporting, chapeau jph27 and thanks for the pleasure!
Our team efforts were pathetic, crashes together with some underperformances made this trip a disaster.
Congrats to Oleg, i knew Trofimov will be dangerous here and he showed it. Feel sorry for Roman, but then again not so much as he has Bew-bastard.

Weird race but okay result for my team. So can`t complain.
Though with the outcome I highly regret to send De Bie to Giro instead. Could have send him here and Vuelta/TdF better probably.
Thanks for the consistent and good reports throughout the race jph. Highly appreciated.
Congrats to Oleg for that somewhat surprising but not undeserved win. Trofimov once again proving to be on a very high level in any of the week long stage races. |

Hehe. The day our riders decide to join the break is the day where my sprinter wins a bunch sprint. Oh well, can not be unhappy at all by this as Koretzky stayed in 6th, keeping KOM (Impossible to lose), while Le Gac attacked and also Coquard did well. Koretzky also stayed in 6th in the points competition.
Overall a very good race for us, where we got what we came for (a stage win, and some decent stage results), but also got the KOM and a surprise top 10.
I feel horrible for those losing GC positions on the final stage here. That really sucks, worst of all for my good friend at Becherovka. I have my fingers crossed that they will come out on top, and wins the PT rankings. They deserve that!

I agree with the others btw. These reports were of top notch quality. Very well done, well written and highly actionpacked. Even boring parts were covered brilliantly, so thumbs up for a great effort!

Phew.
Thanks for the reports!
I was ready to finish second here, but behind Phinney, not Trofimov. Given that Phinney wasn't very good on the hills, I was a bit disappointed Gesink didn't win this, but after seeing the last stage, I'm very glad with the second place.

Such a weird race. Thanks for the good reports though
This race was one of few races where my team disappoints me big time. I realize that I should not expect too much from mountainous races but I hoped that the combo of one of the best hilly sprinters in the PT (GVA) and a strong prologue specialist (Chavanne) would at least deliver a bit.
Only micro highlight was Koch attacking after crashing earlier on the same stage but that's it :/
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

No words for what I have seen, at least it haven't cost me too many points, a crash to Bewley in a classic would be much worse. But still I think PCM06 AI with PCM15 graphics would be so much better game than this...
In overall it wasn't the greatest race for my team, but we have still got some decent results. In overall picture we are doing okay and sometimes we have to experience a really unlucky race.
And one thing to say here: superb quality of reports, they were really enjoyable to read, big thanks jph! And congrats to Oleg, Trofimov was a clear favourite for this race together with Phinney and he delivered a top result! And I am happy for alex, it is great to see Gesink surviving his usual piece of bad luck.

PCM11 all the way. Okay gameplay, okay graphics...
I feel like we are chasing here the silicone blonde year by year, whose only purpose is to look pretty, while we have full range of smart and polished brunettes to choose from...
I am pretty much sure about disbandment of Metinvest after the season, while the broken game will be the main reason. It feels dull to invest emotions and time into something so influnced by bad programming.

Luckily, we didn't throw away another stage win by letting the break get it.
Stupid AI there, but as Roman said himself, the Bewley team could have it even worse.
For us, that means the conclusion of a very successful race, ending up just below 350 points if my calculations are somewhat reasonable (which they haven't always been..), probably double of what I would've expected in advance.
Thanks jph for the amazing reports throughout, and congrats Oleg for owning Trofitruffle.

Avin, I'm sorry to say but I'm not a fan of this the game is broken I'm going to leave the game attitude. (I don't think you were the only one to say this though) As far as I can remember, you weren't shouting how bad the game is when some of those unfortunate results helped your team.
The reason why we change the game every year is because each game has its problems and we can only hope that the next one will be better.
I take this random results as part of the game and to a degree some of the fun of the game. I don't think you were around a few years ago when my team was crashing left and right in the most important stages, or more recent years when Gesink decided to just sit in the pack and do nothing in important stages (last years California queen stage or the first stage of La Vuelta), not once have I threatened to leave the game. Sure, I was upset, but I took it as part of the game and something that I assumed happened to every other manager at least once in the game.

thank you alexkr! I'm pretty much new to the MG, but aren't these strange results also part of the fun side of the game? Surely it's better to have it like this than a pure calculation game...
