Hard to see Phinney lose this, already managed to beat Spilak last year, so this field should be a relative piece of cake. Pfft Especially the presence of a prologue as well should work out in his favor.

Looking forward to your (first ever?) MG reports

you see how fucked up numbers on the startlists are when Samwel is in front of Velits...

good luck to all, my bet is on Phinney or Uran...

Top15 for Bennett would be nice. Actually his only stage race, where he leads the team as elsewhere it`s always Keizer, Olivier or De Bie as main leader.

Must be one of the rare races without a real sprinter for my team. Van der Sanden hopefully at least tries something on one stage.

How dare you not acknowledge Gesink?

The startlist isn't as scary as I thought it would be. I guess I should be expecting a podium for Gesink here.

Velits, Sagan, Vesely... will be interesting to find out what comes out from my lineup in this race. Good stage results and two decent GC results are expected.

Must be one for Phinney, but Gesink might be lucky enough to put up a fight if he doesn't lose too much time in the TTs and the mountain stage.

I'd pay serious attention to Uran, Sicard and Trofimov too. Anything can happen in both the mountain stage and the hilly one. And as PCM taught us, everyone can win TTs, so yeah fuck it, many have a chance to win the race.

Only going for stages here, so hopefully some more luck in terms of breakaways than in the Giro so far. Should have a decent shot allround, but nothing in term of the GC.

Bryan Coquard could do decent in the prologue and with a decent sprint on stage 2 he might have a shot at the leaders jersey. The hilly stages should suit Clement Koretzky well, and the prologue+TT should suit Panagiotis Vlatos well...

Also, time to see what Yuriy Vasyliv can do in the mountains. A top 20 would be nice.

Definitely hoping for results here! Morton, Goss... and my beloved Durbridge have to score!

Our hopes lie more in stage hunting than in the GC, where Arndt will suffer horribly in the TTs and would need big selections elsewhere.

For the sprints we have Lander and Bar who could surprise on a good day, and for the hilly stuff we have Kelderman if it's very selective, and Arndt has a good sprint on him in case it stays together to an extent.
I hope Herklotz gets a shot at a breakaway, especially the hilly stages are very much to his liking.

The GC fight will be interesting to watch, with many lower positioned teams sending their big guys here relying on a good points haul. Trofimov is my dark horse.

Oh and I just realized we got Ciolek here but what even for.

Nobody for the GC here in our colours, but with Ignatiev, Grosu and Guardini we have three stage hunting guys and great train, so at the very least i would like to see some stage podiums. Dream scenario would be Ignatiev gaining leaders jersey after stage 3, but i guess that is reserved for Phinney monster, the biggest GC favourite here.

But watch out for Trofimov!
I'll be back

Indeed! Smile

My predictions:
1: Gesink
2: Phinney
3: Trofimov
4: Sicard
5: Velits

As usual, I mainly hope for stage wins in a race featuring mountains. GVA has quite a few opportunities and the weak TT start list could help Chavanne in the prologue.

Koch and Vosekalns have outside chances to grab a top 20 in GC or a good stage result.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Not expecting much, a top 10 would be nice from Kudus in an ideal world.

And Bobridge of course!

One of few opportunities to shine for Mohs this season. With support of Kluge and (hopefully) Lay, he can have up to three chances to grab stage win here.

I don´t expect anything big from Faiers/Izagirre, they both could finish somewhere around TOP20 or being invisible during whole race.

Phinney as main contender ftw, but it could be thrilling battle between him and especially Gesink.

Our weakest line up during the whole season, which means zero expectations and less if that had been possible. If we manage to hit a breakaway or two, this will be a great success.

If the hilly stages are selective, Gesink is my favourite, if not, this is Phinney's to loose.

Looking forward to the reports, jph27! Smile

Ideal Scenario we win the Prologue and hold the leaders jersey the entire race more likely is we lead to the hilly stage then lose a min or 2 and have to pray we get it back in the TT really not see how this team is going to handle the mountain stage of we have to work since I sent Pantano and Elissonde to Giro to try and get max points Boily should be capable of helping but after that we are pretty bare unless Polanc or Brown can do a monster ride should have enough protection on the hilly stage though

Yeah I was expecting this to be a much stronger line up, particularly with the weaker Giro.

Hoping for a solid top 7, or at least top 10 from Van den Broeck. Claeys has a couple of changes here as well, and if he can pull out a win that would be super useful.

That was a brilliant and different report from a prologue, thank you jph27.
