Better penalty would be to disallow them to either attack or oull the peloton to reel back in attacks, meaning they could still fetch bottles and help in cases of punctures and crashes. Best would've been to remove them all, just like they should've DQd everyone except for the break a few days ago.

Quintana is 7 point short of Valverde. I think the Colombian will take it |

But in that day, peloton was clearly inside time limit, not today's case |

We actually need to open a new thread about this, if you were the head of the competition, what would you do? right now.

Tell them to fuck off and go home. Seriously how do you lose 54 minutes on a stage that only took 2h54???

I could have gone with them on an extremely good day (not really, probably, but point taken). |

A new form of cheat is growing, Skyrulebreakingdoping, seem to be a legal drug.

Arberg's right, despite losing so much time to Quintana, Froome still won and got to keep his domestiques.

I will add to the chorus of boo's about time limit debacle. Of course this has happened before in other GT's and will no doubt happen again. I just wish they would just clarify it - it seems very unfair to all the riders that have been kicked out of GT's in the past for being so far down. Today for example they could have made an announcement after first hour saying 40 minutes or something.
That said I don't think today was by any means an easy ride - clearly this has been a hard race at the end of a hard season and some extreme leniancy has been applied. I do wonder if some official basically told the gruppetto that they would be fine - because they must have really soft tapped the latter half of that stage.

Wow I know Sky are cheating bastards but I didn't know they had 94 team members with 86 riding on other trade teams.

Suck it up, set a precedent and you'll see it doesn't happen again any time soon.

I'm pretty sure they just said "hey, there's so many of us here, if we stay together they'll never kick us out".
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Talansky again manages to put in a good ride whilst sneaking by the camera and making me think Ben King is him
Crazy stage but sad I didn't get to see the whole thing.

This would have been indeed the best scenario here, but a little bit hard to actually implement it in reality.

After all the work from his team, Scarponi has slipped down to 10th in GC.

A pro is that Adam Hansen now can finish his 16th GT in a row

Nope.
Doesn't count. He's stuck at 15.
Froome also wins. |
