What, again? Contador crashes way too much for a GC contender of his calibre, this is pretty tiresome by now. Last year, he crashed all the time, in trainings, in Giro, after Giro, in le Tour.. jeez. stay up will you bertie

And today we saw the Devil fulfilling the pact he made with contador a decade ago:
"Yes, you will be a great champion, but one day you'll be caught with doping. And then in 2016..."
Seriously though, he's got the worst of lucks. |

Tecnically, a Lotto Soudal rider (think Van der Sande) made Contador crash. Not Contador's fault. Just a rider going into the corner much faster than anybody else that collides with you |

As a Contador fan, it was Contador's fault. How did he think it would have been a good idea to stay in front in a stage where he wasn't going to do anything until the last 200 meters??? He was there, on Bennati's wheel, and then basically stopped all of a sudden going into a corner. That's dumb as fuck, no wonder he's been crashing like a fucking Dutchman the last 3 years.

I have no clue to why Contador did that, looked like he simply lacked the strength to hold his wheel. Oh well, too bad we never can assess his real level.
I wonder if it have gotten mental at this point. |

Will be last time today for Contador, if he is injured and lose time again, we can conclude his GC dreams is over.
I am pretty sure he won't ride for a top 10, if he is definitely out of the top he will find an way into the team car.

No way, if he abandons, its because of another crash or something similar. He won't retire because he can't win, take Tour de France 2013 and 2015 as examples. |

When someone crashes like this its a good sign the confidence is shot, sometimes bad luck is simply that but sometimes you create the bad luck yourself which looks to be happening with Contador.

Taaramae has abandoned due to getting hit by a team car. :/
According to Italian ES it was the organisation's team car, which makes it all the worse really.
not only Cofidis riders causing crashs, also their cars (at least according to radsportnews.com)
also, I'm missing IAM already
shame for Conti, but I agree, it's his fault if he places himself so far up there on this point...

In 2013 and 2015 he was Competing inside top five, what I'm afraid of this time is riding for a top 10 or something, I'm not sure he wants to do that, but let's see.

In 2013's Tour, he was second in GC before last mountain stage |

The breakaway riders that'll likely ride for the win today
Cattaneo
Chetout
Domont
Janse van Rensburg
Lagutin
Quémeneur
Restrepo
Serry
Smukulis
Thwaites
Waeytens
17k, 9m30 lead. Looking at these names I think it would go to Serry, Cattaneo or Janse van Rensburg
