Restart your computer/fully close and open steam maybe if you haven't already?
The time I had this problem it eventually solved itself when I downloaded a new GPX and tried that, not sure what the difference was between it and the current ones on my computer, but maybe it's worth a try if you've got nothing else.

Restarted the computer, and did all that... Still no change to the digets when loading GPX or KML files..

So, i've downloaded a couple of zcts files to try and test them. But the editor says: "Cant open stage" When i try to load them.
So i guess my editor is messed up. Any ideas to fix this mess people?

The PCM16 editor is for some reason incapable of opening stages older than PCM15. The solution is to open the zcts in the PCM15 SE, save it there, then open it with the 2016 SE.

@hillis
Have you downloaded the game itself? And if so: is it working as intended?
Could easily be that components are installed with the game you also need to run the stage editor.

Yes of course, everything with PCM runs fine, but the editor seems to not want to work. It opens ok, but when i try to load GPX files(nothing happens) or zcts files(from PCM 16 - Found on pcmdaily -- I get "Cant open stage" nothing happens.
I've tried re-installing the editor, i've tried to run backups on the files on Steam. But nothing. Is there a simple thing i've forgoten to click or do?

Hmm, sense you haven't missed anything... time for desperate measures.
You can always try:
a) to change games language by right-clicking PCM in your steam library:
properties-->language--> try english if it isn't already
It usually downloads the missing files. Then try if something changed when using the stage editor (maybe even re-install it)
b) to check local datas for errors by right-clicking the editor-tool:
properties-->local data-->check for errors or corrupted files (or something likewise)
c) ask the support

I've changed langauge, nothing, re-installed the editor, nothing. So, i then tried to just make a stage and save. Maybe to kick start something but, suprise suprise:
Nothing worked, i tried just making a random stage without a gpx or nothing. Tried to save and got "Can't save stage".
I guess the next part is to ask steam now...

Are there any special characters in any path the Stage editor could use (directory where it is installed or where you try to save your stage)?

I downloaded PCM 15 again to test the stage editor there, same problem there. Does that info help anybody to help me figure this out..?
When i press save, the standard folder is my desktop. Am i missing a file or something since i got the Steam version? Im actually dumbfounded due to this problem, i just can't seem to figure it out...

I've come across some weird problem in my Stage Editor: when adding fields, adding field type 3A makes the stage editor crash. As far as I know this didn't happen with any other one (tested a few, including 3B). Is this some file missing from my PC or is there some sort of bug?
edit: for some reason 3A did work on other fields. Starting to think it might be related to the placement of the fields. Will take a further look into this myself then.

I think I had a similar problem back in the 2013 version. I think that was in only a specific region (south, arid, alps, do not remember which, but 3a bugged only on one of them), and on the 3a field. |
