Vuelta team done. Is there anuone who doesn't have at least 3 of Froome, Contador, Quintana & Valverde?
Also, is that the weakest sprint line up in grand tour history? It could be a case of quite a few breaks staying away as not many teams will bother to chase breaks down for a sprint
Only Conta and Quintana here
Only Valverde
Only Valverde? Only Valverde here also. Hoping for my picks, especially Lopez . |

Only Contador here. And only 98 points used as well.

Contador and Froome so far, but that might all change before the start. A lot of tough decisions this time with so many decent riders at 6/8 credits.

My team is ready I guess... Does it ever get easier making these teams? Such a struggle . |

Turns out Haussler isn't riding so I will be using all 100 points after all.

Usually Vuelta team is the hardest to pick so we usually end with quite a lot of surprises and it's impossible to tell who still has something left after the Tour.
But this year it was pretty easy for me.

What normally is not easy when picking Velogames teams is the 4/6 points riders. Found some really underrated gems amongst those so was a lot easier than expected.

My team is way too reliant on youth but not sure I want to get rid of anybody Still 98 points too (would be closer to 94 if I didn't feel pressured to reach 100 )

Yeah there were some really good 4/6 guys this time, unfortunately Denz was taken off the startlist though, was really hoping he could do something good as a 4 point rider

Definetely the easiest velogames team to build in quite some time.
Step 1 -> avoid every who did the le tour.
Step 2 -> done.

Or maybe Chaves and Lopez? Why not risk? |

Contador and Chaves it is. Lopez a bit of an unknown element at this level for now. Oh and Valv too

Got Chaves, Quinco, Valv and Lopez. Surprisingly many good riders at 4-6, so I think that can be afforded! |

And who else was like 'who da fuck do I choose for the sprints'. I basically just closed my eyes and picked one, what a sad set of sprinters. |

I said that earlier. Must be the weakest grand tour sprint competition in the history of cycling. Could mean lots of breakaways stating away during the race. |

Alberto Contador
Christopher Froome
Johan Esteban Chaves
Yuri Trofimov
Kristian Sbaragli
Rubén Fernández
Salvatore Puccio
Florian Senechal
Michal Kwiatkowski
Some risks, some safe picks. I'm already regretting that I stuck with Sbaragli since Bennati is likely to do better with assists, but happy that I switched Grmay out for Senechal. Was also very close to dumping Chaves for a cheap alternative (e.g. Anton) to free up more cash to bring in Barguil, Clarke or Rossetto as a speculative pick but Kwiatkowski could be great value.

Gesink - Bit of a chauvinist pick. However,he's fresh, has not raced the Tour and has some good previous results in the Vuelta. Hopefully he surprises me
Lopez - Hopefully not too hyped
Chaves - Can't be a surprising pick either
Latour - More hype
Van der Sande - Had to pick an 8pt sprinter. Recently picked up his first win and already got some good results last year
Carthy - More hype
Cort - Could get some sprinting points in this field, at 4pts a real bargain
Vervaeke - Probably not as good as José Been thinks he is, but should do well in the not too difficult multi mountain stages, which is pretty much all of them
Contador - Had enough points left, so this is one I'm happy with

^ 6/9 of our teams are the same then
Bilbao and Cort are my picks for stage wins somewhere during the race, while Felline and Van der Sande will likely be the most fresh sprinters here.
