This is starting once again! Maybe the funniest GT in my opinion although this years' route design is very very bad.
Hopefully, in the Spanish roads we will be able to see a good-shaped (?) Contador who has prepared Vuelta after his crashes in Tour, a broken-hearted Quintana (very offensive) and a Tour-winner Chris Froome. I am really looking forward to the fights between those three, but I am also aware that those 3 won't be the Top 3 finishers... at least not them all.
Certainly I am seeing Chaves and Kruijswijk as serious contenders for the podium because, and this is now my honest opinion, Contador is going to win this GT.
Let this Vuelta start!
THE ANALYSIS OF THE STAGE
To be honest, I haven't looked too much at the startlist, but I guess the favourites for this stage will be the usual favourites in TTT... I don't really know

Possibly Valverde & Contador's last chance to win a GT.
Froome looked very tired at the Olympics and I could see him struggle here. Quintana also needs a win to salvage his season and maintain his reputation as a future TdF winner.
Looking forward to this one. |

Also, who's going to lead Movistar? Surely Valverde isn't going to support Quintana at the TdF and Vuelta? Then again I guess Valverde did lead at the giro so perhaps he will. |

Valverde, with two GT's in his legs already, leading?
Well, that's a fuckin recipe for disaster. |

Magic prediction time again, eh?
He's still riding at least one year so he'll have chances to win a GT for one more year, even after this. Deal with it.

not sure what that response is about. Last time I checked this was a discussion forum to discuss things.
I also like how you cut out the word "possibly" from my quote to suit your rant. |

We usually just do weekly discussions for the Vuelta but I guess this is fine.
TTT's are never good for Garmin lately. Not looking forward to it.

A longish TTT in the Vuelta, what the fuck. I have seen everything now
I think Sky will disappoint somewhat and either BMC or Movi will win, the latter is a pretty underrated TTT squad, especially in La Vuelta. Castro is in monster shape and they also have some other decent rouleurs.
Tinkoff being Tinkoff, they will prob lose 45 seconds or so. Its not a disaster, but Contador will still be the favourite and will have plenty of opportunities to win. |

Chaves will win the TTT? Technically, he has decent chances of grabbing the stage along with the team, but.. |
