Delighted and surprised to see Hacecký in 3rd on GC.
On the flat Park just managed to keep our record of a top 10 in every stage.

We messed that sprint up badly, not sure where Manan was but it seemed like Awang tried to compensate with a longer leadout and Salleh was waiting for Manan to catch up to do the leadout instead of jumping onto Awang's wheel.

Guess the hills were a bit much for Clarkey as MTK and Jama both show their punchy sprinting skills with better results than him.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

well after the farce of the mountain stage, Rowe taking his customary stage win of the year is pleasing, as it was quite unexpected. Shame that means he wont win for the rest of the year...
Hope Tvetcov can recover for a top 5 here

At least we keep trying for the breakaway, which is pleasant, but still nobody in the top 50 GC. Getachew Sendeku should be able to do good in this stage 3 years from now, but this is good learning for him.
Thanks for another brilliant report TR! |

Another man in the break, for the fifth day out of six- pretty impressive. And my heart was in my flippin' mouth when Alawi attacked with 5km to go- I was convinced he'd stay away, what with his 74 TT, but it wasn't to be.
Great reporting by TR!

Shit backup stats in CT still manage to win races. Rowe is the best example in the MG as for fatty sprinter, and yet he can dominate those 2-3 sprint stages all year. Could be a not mediocre season for him if well planned, and sending him here is smart as no top ct sprinters can be found. He could still snatch another win I guess. Congrats Ryan, great reporting as always Rider

You seem to forget Nizzolo as one of the best sprinters in CT heavily underperforming at the moment.
Even in CT I never had thought Rowe would do any good as all those 78/78 or 79/79 I had expected a lot stronger. |

When you send Nizzolo to a 12 days not C2HC stage race with 4 sprint days, you are just trying to kick yourself in the balls, frankly. I agree he's underperforming, but he would absolutely limit the losses if that was in a shorter stage race/classic.

Surprised Geschke didnt feature in todays sprint, seemed like a pretty good stage for him.
Seeing how similar stage 7 is to stage 5, I wouldnt be too surprised to see Guillen snatch the win again.

Docker really needs to work on his positioning but he's looking better in the green jersey race now.

Another sprint where he started terribly out of position, but I'll take it as Docker moves into green. Hopefully he can hold it from here and Garby can hold yellow and white.

Horrible stage for us. Esmaeli dropped to lose his 16th position in the GC, Drapac nowhere to be seen and Avila going backwards. Now I hope Martinez can keep up in the mountains.
