I've heard Liggett earlier in the race mistake a rider for Abraham Olano who retired in 2002!!!

We only get them for the last part of the stage on our local TV, the earlier part is commentated by Matt Keenan and Robbie McEwan (they did the whole Giro broadcast on our local TV) who are actually very good, McEwan really knows his stuff. I think next year we won't even have Phil and Paul anymore

Yes Lotto and Soudal have sponsor contracts untill 2019 so can give longer contracts than other teams. Same for Ag2r who just renewed with Lavenu untill 2020 so I expect them to attract some nice riders with long contracts this season.

Hopefully he's on a good one but he did start the last time trial as one of the fastest at the first check and went on to lose time so it's hard to be sure.
