Mountain is used to determine the strength of the rider when they are using an effort of 70 or less up a climb.
Hill is used to determine the strength of the rider when they are using an effort of more than 70 up a climb.
Rec is used to determine how much they recover after each stage in a tour, it effects how full the green bar is at the start of each stage and also the daily form, it usually only has a big impact in the final week of a GT though.
Sprint stat effects how fast they can sprint.

Wrong.
Mountain is used up to about effort 90. Hill is used starting from about effort 70. Between 70 and 90 both stats are used following a complicated formula.
But simply put, the lower the effort, the more important the mountain stats is. The higher the effort, the more important the hill stat.

And what about Resistance, Stamina, Acceleration and FighterStat?
Am I right that RES means how quickly the yellow bar decreases and STA how the green bar? Red bar is influenced by ACC and FIGHTER means frequency of attacks? |

Resistance is how quick the red bar runs out. Explained by cyanide:
"Resistance (RES)
The more you have the more red energy you get.
It is important for riders able to make one big attack, i don't talk a 36x19 attack like Contador, i mean big gear like Gilbert, Sagan or Van Avermaet, so it's good especially for the puncheurs. This is not really where the pure climbers excels, they can make the difference but on a lower acceleration in the end of a long climb."
Stamina controls how quick the green bar gets used up in a single day, but only has an effect since about the 200th km, so for the rest the green bar depends on other stats and the energy that gets spent.
Acceleration is how quick a rider can get to speed a to speed b, everyone thought it had an effect on the red bar, but apparently that is resistance according to what cyanide say.
Fighter only has an effect for AI teams and yeah, it's the frequency a certain rider goes in breaks, but really in recent PCMs it's a lot less important than other factors such as main stats, shape, ranking position etc.

I haven't done any tests on the new version of this game, but if this is true, they dramatically changed how their system works.

but its not a complicated formula
it's just a sliding scale.
70 - 0% hi 100% mo
80 - 50% hi 100% mo
90 - 100% hi 0%mo
same with tt and pl |

If resistance is how quickly the red bar runs out, then what determines how quickly the yellow runs out? I was under the impression that resistance controlled the yellow bar, not the red |

I'm pretty sure the Fighter Stat is very helpful for player too.
For me it determines how many chance you have "to feel good" when you make an attack (red flashing bar). I had a rider with 82 Fighter stat, and half the time, when I made an attack with him, its red bar flashed, and allowed me to keep the attack for a long time. |

This has been tested by Kentaurus, and no, it doesn't.

So, which factors are taken in consideration for the red flashing bar ? |

Ok thank you for the explanation. I'm very sad to learn that the Fighter stat is completely useless... Idea for PCM 2017: remove it. |

So what does influence the speed of decreasing of the yellow bar? |

at 60 dot effort, rider will have 139-140 heart rate, at least in be a pro mode, and in this case, your yellow bar will stay full, and wont deplete.
In be a pro what i do is.... set maintain position for the front, and keep at 60, while let my teammate protect me. At the remaining 10-20km, i always have full yellow bar , because heart rate with this trick is between 105 to maximum of 140, which means no depletion. Also this way green bar stays in very good condition... and then i make the moves.
Edit: unless i need like mountain points or sprint points, then of course i make a run for it, then it eats up a bit of yellow.
