We're currently short on active reporters. If anyone is willing to do some races, please let me know.

What PCM do we need to report races?

If PCM 13 is okay then I can probably do some reports.

We're using PCM 14 this year for Man Game.

Since I'm on holidays, I can do a few races, but. I don't want to let people down in terms of keeping up, so I'll need some time in advance to do it.

I'm not really sure how it all works, (although I have reported for EPIC before) but I probably am able to. Wink

Here we are for an other edition of Paris-Roubaix, the Hell of the North ! The best pavmans are here for the win, it will be a incredible fight !

A first group tries to go out of the peloton, while the riders are leaving Compiègne.

7 new riders join the front group, not sure the pack will let them go. Behind, a fall impacts pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ag2r.png De Vries, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lampre.png Xu and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/dimension.png Dougall.

The first breakaway group is caught ! The fallen riders are back in the pack, while pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lotto.png Naesen and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fdj.png Ladagnous create a gap.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462629556-pcm1414.png

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fdj.png Ladagnous and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lotto.png Naesen are the breakaway of the day ! They have a 4'20'' advantage at 200 km from the Velodrome.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462629527-pcm1420.png

The leaders of the race take a 8 minutes gap, coming in Troisvilles, the first paved sector of Paris-Roubaix this year. 150 km left.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462629675-pcm1428.png

The peloton stretches over the cobblestones, and a group of riders lose focus and fall : pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/topsport.png Capiot, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/topsport.png Van Lerberghe and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/cofidis.png Hofstetter are on the ground. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/dimension.png Pearson, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/dimension.png Dougall and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ag2r.png De Vries are dropped of the pack.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462630160-pcm1433.png

Falls pursue, now 11 riders hit the deck. The breakaway starts to lose time, they have 6'30'' at 115 km from the finish. The peloton have 122 riders left.

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/topsport.png Jans, Dehaes, Van Meirhaeghe

The Trouée d'Aremberg doesn't cause any big problems to the breakaway or the peloton neither, even if it's losing riders a bit (105 left). 95 km, 5'.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462630534-pcm1449.png

Riders everywhere on the sector of Warlaing ! Between other riders, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/bmc.png Zabel, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lotto.png Broeckx, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fdj.png Kuznetsov or pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/trek.png Stuyven are dropped. 70 km, 2'20''.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462634675-pcm1458.png

As the riders face Bersée's sector, let's make a recap on the remaining riders (not counting the breakaway). 53 km, 1'10'' for the front group.

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/etixx.png Degenkolb, Lampaert, Lutsenko, Phinney, Terpstra, Thomas, van der Poel, Vandenbergh
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/cannondale.png Cancellara, Breschel, Pedersen
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/sky.png Sagan, Moscon, Trentin, Marcato, Wisniowski
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/bmc.png Van Avermaet, Drucker, Van Asbroeck
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/orica.png Benoot, Wiggins, Keukeleire, Docker, Hayman
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lottonl.png Vanmarcke, Gilbert, Devenyns, Oss, Wynants
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/movistar.png Kristoff, Sénéchal, Erviti, Venturini, Roelandts
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lotto.png Boom, Laporte, Greipel
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/tinkoff.png Stybar, Quinziato
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lampre.png Rowe, Devolder, Rast
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fdj.png Démare, Gaudin, Puccio
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/directenergie.png Boasson Hagen, Chavanel, Petit
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/trek.png Gougeard, Schillinger
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/roompot.png Boonen, van Baarle, Van Keirsbulck
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ag2r.png Stannard, Van Hoecke
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/iam.png Elmiger

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462635141-pcm1459.png

On the same sector, flat tire for pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fdj.png Démare ! His teammates Puccio and Gaudin are slowing down to help him.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462635298-pcm1462.png

Mons-en-Pévèle's cobblestones don't help pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fdj.png Démare. He passes pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/directenergie.png Boasson Hagen and Petit, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/trek.png Gougeard, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/iam.png Elmiger, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/roompot.png Van Keirsbulck , pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/ag2r.png Van Hoecke, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/sky.png Moscon and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/movistar.png Venturini.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462635532-pcm1466.png

The breakaway has been caught, but no reprieve for the peloton as pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/orica.png Tiesj Benoot decides to attack ! 40 kilometers left.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462635930-pcm1470.png

The young belgian is caught by the favourites group (29 riders) in Cysoing, as he's overtook by 3 giants of the cobblestones :

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/sky.png Sagan
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/bmc.png Van Avermaet
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/cannondale.png Cancellara

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462636077-pcm1474.png

Just before Camphin-en-Pévèle, everything has to be done again ! Only 19 guys can still dream of winning today, as the hell is over in 20 kilometers :

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/etixx.png Degenkolb, Terpstra, Thomas, Lampaert, van der Poel
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lottonl.png Vanmarcke, Gilbert, Oss, Wynants
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/movistar.png Kristoff, Sénéchal Roelandts
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/orica.png Benoot, Hayman
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/sky.png Sagan
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/cannondale.png Cancellara
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/bmc.png Van Avermaet
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/tinkoff.png Stybar
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lotto.png Boom

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462636410-pcm1478.png

It was hardly predictable : pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/orica.png Hayman stop his effort, but blocks nearly everyone ! A 8-riders group is now going away, while pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lotto.png Boom tries to come back :

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/etixx.png Degenkolb
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lottonl.png Vanmarcke
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/movistar.png Kristoff
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/orica.png Benoot
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/sky.png Sagan
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/cannondale.png Cancellara
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/bmc.png Van Avermaet
pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/tinkoff.png Stybar

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462636543-pcm1479.png

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/orica.png Tiesj Benoot attacks again on Carrefour de l'Arbre, but anybody wants to relay behind.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462636986-pcm1481.png

On Gruson, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/orica.png Tiesj Benoot built up a 45 seconds gap. Will it be enough at 15 kilometers of Roubaix ? Meanwhile, pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lotto.png Boom came back on the chasing group.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462637103-pcm1483.png

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/orica.png Benoot didn't lose any time on Hem's sector, he only has 7 kilometers to fight until the finish line !

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462637241-pcm1485.png

We can see the chasing group as pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/orica.png Benoot enters the Velodrome, but they still have 40 seconds to bridge.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462637400-pcm1487.png

The bell rings on the Velodrome ! pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/lotto.png Lars Boom is exhausted, he won't finish better than 9th today.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462637547-pcm1488.png

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/cannondale.png Cancellara and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/tinkoff.png Stybar are anticipating the sprint to close the gap !

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462637738-pcm1491.png

The sprint is launched in the chasing group, while pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/orica.png Benoot haven't made his stroke ! He shouldn't celebrate too soon.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/18/1462638242-pcm1492.png

That's a incredible win for pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/orica.png Tiesj Benoot in Roubaix ! He resisted to the stunning come back of his rivals to take his first monument ever.

image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/23/1465492429-pcm1496.png

pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/tinkoff.png Zdenek Stybar sprinted from too far, he's passed by pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/etixx.png John Degenkolb for second place. Disappointing pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/sky.png Peter Sagan in 6th position.

136 guys finished the Hell of the North today, the others arrived too late to be in the classification. pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/fdj.png Marc Fournier and pcmdaily.com/files/Micros16/roompot.png Ottavio Dotti retired earlier in the race.

As a tip, you may want to upload jpgs instead of pngs, you can mass convert them with irfanview.

JPGs are quicker to upload for the reporters and to download for the readers, and the quality loss is not huge Wink

It shouldn't be a tip, it should be a god damn rule. There are no reasons to use .PNG's for this.

Also, another smarter to do is to resize or crop your pictures. Nobody needs a high resolution screenshot, if it just gets downscaled to fit in a post.

This is the first time he's making a report and it's a quality one. Why only focus on the image type? It's the easiest thing to fix for next time.

I love all the details, I love all the pictures, I love all the micro jerseys, I love the length. You're going to be a fantastic reporter roro!

Because everything else is good. And if we dont tell him, how will he know that he should fix it?

Hey it was a tip! No doubt about the quality report, but if it's the easiest thing to fix for the next time, someone should actually tell him to fix it! Grin

My connection is quite shitty, so at first attempt, I couldn't even load the texts because of the total size of the pics Wink

Then we agree. I just mean that it could have been beneficial to tell him that it was a great report and then add the tip afteron. Cause if you didn't tell him it was good, how could he know? Wink

EDIT: I'm working a lot with children, so I guess I just like to use children psychology in web forums as well. 80% encouragement and 20% teaching. Sorry guys, haha

You're not gonna get a reporter spot if your reports lead to Benoot as PR winner.

Suddenly a wild Benoot lover appears. Pfft

Roro confess that you have replayed it until Benoot win to troll Alakagom.

Great report btw!

Thanks for all those comments Grin The fact that the pictures are in .png is that i based this report on a "live" I made on an other league, and it didn't seem annoying to them so i didn't make any changes Embarassed I'll change that in the future Wink

And no Avin, it was only played once (and a month ago ^^) Wink

As a tip, you may want to upload jpgs instead of pngs, you can mass convert them with irfanview.

Alternatively, you can use Greenshot and then immediately save the files as JPGs
