I was done working at 15h30
I thought I had all the time in the world.
When I got home (1h travel), I just saw the 4 sprinting for the win. I missed everything else. WTF |

have they finished behind of the slowest schedule this giro cause I feel like the stages are finishing early and I'm consistantly late for the finish when I come from work.

I told you Kruijswijk is only getting stronger in a 3rd week. You aren't gonna beat him by straight out attcking.. And certainly not like this. Nibali is such an idiot sometimes. They chose completely the wrong tactic.
I don't mind though. Valverde will now ride to keep his podium and Nibali will only try to get on the podium. Same for Chaves to keep his podium.
Everything has come together perfectly for him this Giro and he's certainly taken his chance to win a GT very impressively, he has a big enough of a gap that if he does have a bad day he can limit his losses and still keep his lead. It's always good to see someone who isn't a big name win a GT (okay not Horner, that was more comical than good)
Horner? That's the power of beetroot juice for you. If only I could stomach it :'( I'd be putting out 6W/kg at 60 rpm for 40 minutes too
Sounds like a great stage today (that I missed), must stay up and watch the live recording by the sound of it. |

Cheng Ji in 54th today, his best ever result in a Grand Tour stage, beating his 69th place on the final stage of last year's Giro. Only the 7th time he's finished inside the top 100 in 5 Grand Tours!

I might have enjoyed this stage if Dombrowski hadn't been called back to protect Uran 12TH PLACE, and Uran cracked anyway. Stupid move by Cannondale. Tow along Chaves and then Uran dies anyway, and they lose any chance at a stage. Hope he finally has free reign now, although we'll never known with that memorable 12th place Uran has going.

Dombrowski got dropped on a flat road. HE wasn't called back.

Well, I just read that he has bronchitis. I understand now that it may be tough to race with that, so I don't blame him for having a rough go of it. But that just means even more that protecting him in 12th place is a hopeless cause. Dombrowski shouldn't have been called back.

Well, Kirby didn't seem to think so, he mentioned it about 5 times. TO be fair, I kind of skimmed the early racing when I got home due to time constraints so I wouldn't really know. I just heard Kirby keep saying it and then all of a sudden Dombrowski was gone and Cannondale were pacing like mad.
