Valgren had no possibility against Gasparoto sprint ability even 5 years later he's top.
What 30 guys back there was thinking ...is the question..marking each other ...who will get 3rd? |

2 pct riders on the podium in a wt race, of which one won. When did that last happen? Beautiful last 10 kms!

very predictable. Everyone could see it coming. Both in top 8 atop the cauberg but nee chance one would work for the other

Well after what happened at the WC last year I doubt we will ever see Matthews work for Gerrans

I much more liked the race finishing on the Cauberg. |

Gerro the Gecko.
Anyway, amazing winner, a little bright spot for the team that's hit by so much bad luck lately very nice!
That aside, a big change from the cobbled classics. But at least I could take a good afternoon nap now. Woke up with 11 km to go and saw most of it
A strong Wellens, always like to see him going for it! |

Never been a fan of Gasparotto, but that interview was pure class.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Bah I will take 3rd and 5th for my velogames.
It was cagey stuff up the Cauberg and credit to the winner who took a punt realising he was no going to beat Colbreilli, Coquard, Matthews and the rest of the wheel sucking gang in a sprint.
It is certainly nice to see wild card outsider taking the win as well.

the problem isn't the finish. It's the new last lap that is the probem. They should get rid of it. Eyserbos and Keutenberg should be closer to the finish so groups and teams will be smaller

I just picked the winner of a race.
I don't think that has ever happened before.

I love Czech Eurosport: "What a surprise winner! I guess nobody could expect this. I'll just check out for you who the last Italian winner was..." |
