Bouvry saved the race with the mountain jersey, our leaders were a bit disappointing there.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

16th and 17th and only got in the breakaway when it was too late. Load of shite.
I guess we were due a bad race though. Plus I didn't send Lavery who would of course have destroyed Nibali...

Bardet doing well to fight against Nibali but the Italian is the shark and easily Velo d'Or material this season. Quality racing by whole of Eurosport squad tho, securing massive pts.
Music to my ears in a focus race after the disappointment of MSR
Bardet, Matthews, Blythe and Simon all on top form but Nibbles just too good. After 4 second places Matthews finally delivers us a rare win
Thanks to Shonak for reports on Course de la Paix and l'Avenir, looks like you are Eurosport's lucky charm

Stage 5 destroys it a bit but Course de la Paix is still a solid race for CarbonSports. Only mediocre GC but points and team classifications as well as several good stage results should add another bunch of points.

Ah, the old send Rivera up the road and Atkins has no back-up stats so he can join later returns!
And wtf is up with Ochoa this year?

Stages 16, 17 & 18 of La Vuelta are up. Hills, mountains and even a cobbled finishing climb on Stage 17 are on the menu.

Final three stages will be up later. I hope you're sitting comfortably for the conclusion of one of the best GTs ICL has ever had.

Best gt icl ever had = tvg winning in brewers terms?
EDIT It's sorta strange that Purito hasn't got a stage win yet, guy has been ranking them up in the past two Vueltas casually, now he struggles hard.. Overall, the Grand Tours have been a largely disappointing affair up to this point, I hope it'll have a lucky end for once. Although Bunzl certainyl could do well with a GT win too.

De Gendt still racing aggressively and now just outside the top 10!
Chavenal fell out of the KOM jersey competition now after Coppel wins 60 points, still we had a pretty good run with him.
Thanks for the results brewers

Before Vuelta finishes, let's take a look at the GT riders of the future in the exciting conclusion of Tour de l'Avenir
https://pcmdaily.c...st_1156665
Spoiler Crazy race imo. In the U23, it's obvious that the stats arn't that strong, thus riders can easily drop back on a bad day or make massive gain, like Couault on his obvious +5 masterpiece ride.
I turned on the replay and Engeldinger had no injury, puncutre or this sort. I think the AI just timed its effort bad and he fell back. The reaciton came promptly and he could not close down the gap on the attacking favorites.
Navarro with two really good days, unfortunately really closely missing out due to Couautl's uberride. Pleased with Fundacion's overall performance although we lost ranks on the final stage (VDP, Cuadros).

Thanks Brewers. VDB looking good, two bad stages have cost him an unlikely GC win though. Really need VDB to pull through and get 4th (or 3rd) with Italo having opened a cask of something on the last stage to get so many in the top 30 and in position to take the team title.
Would like to see VG take the GC as that would be a big PCM surprise, for me! Also would like Rodriguez to take it: because ABOUT DAMN TIME! Exciting final poised. --
Thanks Shonak. One top10 and 75 in GC: things can only get better! ! |

Better end from Scott and well inside the top ten. I'll just go along with the fact that he was tired after a long season.
Thanks for the coverage.

Not necessarily. It wasn't a spoiler. Just talking about how great the racing has been. Mainly due to the fact that I didn't bring any climbers to control the race so it's literally open war as soon as Craddock pulls off the front on the climbs.

I thought that too that bunzl team support was rather weak. But I don't think it'd be any better with Illes Balears since I mostly build my squad on us surviving the TTT and invested all climbing power in Giro-Tour. I admit, in hindsight this was rather a stupid and much more ambition strategy than I set it out to be...
@Ryder: Most certainly at the Giro there were too many stars. When you have four 82 riders with a shitton of quality domestiques, there is just insane pace from get-go. This has surely a large impact. Same goes for le Tour, where contador profited from his superior hill stat (2 points!) in comparison to Froome and Q and went on rampage; in later stages, I think there were some chances for botds, but probably still too much starpower.

would have liked back to back wins in the Vuelta with Valverde (14th stage) and Zoidl (15th stage) but 2nd place for zoidl is amazing too
edit: HOLY SHIT! TWO STAGE WINS IN AVENIR
Pro team and Dev team are 4-4 in stage wins

Ochoker is bad, and he should feel bad.
And stage 17, don't mind me, I'll just sit here. And cry. My reaction in chronological order:
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."
