Why not try your skills on Boucles de la Mayenne French 2.1 stage race. So far no-one have made any version of it, so what I can see all DBs with this race have those pesky cdx-files (pointing to another real race).
Boucles de la Mayenne got a prologue and 3 stages, starts and finish in Laval.
Perhaps you get a hard time finding gpx for it, since there must be a reason why nobody tackled it yet. Even the skillful blokes at pcmfrance have stayed away from it.
A challenge mate !!!

Ok, I'll give a go, Did some searching and found the routes although they were a bit hard to see (none of the other roads are drawn on them) so I might look for some other ones but what I've got should work fine.

So you picked up the gauntlet. Nice...
All the best to you (and if you succeed don't forget the zcts files mate.
Always nice to have them included in the packages.
If you ran into more spare time, or cast away Mayenne.
Why not try the "other" Limburg race. Volta Limburg Classic.
Ronde van Limburg was made after my asking, but this lesser race is in cdx.
https://www.voltal...lassic.nl/
Or the Belgians 1.1 race (also a cdx file)

Have taken a very brief look at a few stages of yours (Furka and Löbau). What I generally noticed is that your roads don't contain road stripes, which, of course is a bit of a shame, but shouldn't be too hard to fix.
Graphics wise, your stages look good (apart from a few houses on the road, shouldn't be too hard to fix).
Shame about the narrows in Löbau, especially when they're easy to avoid.
And of course, with some more practise you can get very far, as for someone inexperienced you're doing quite well.
P.S. For Boucles de la Mayenne, the road ''schedule'' is included in the route image, it might a bit of a help. In general, this race seems quite 'easy' and should be good a good exercise. Maybe if you're done you could even help creating some stages for the 2016 DB.

@clamel: cool, I might give those races a go after, but don't want to commit too far into the future yet.
@selwink: Thanks for the advice but what are road stripes though?
About houses in the roads I didn't realise that so I'll go back and fix them
The narrows in Löbau were because I didn't realise they were a problem when I made it so I'll go back and fix that too. Unfortunately there are some unavoidable ones at the top of Tremola though, although they are late so shouldn't have a massive impact.
Boucles de la Mayenne looks good so should be fun to make I was kind of not helping with the 2016 db as I didn't feel good enough with some of the conversations going on about it with graphics and stuff but I might like to help later. Again, thanks for the advice

What I meant was something like this:
Also on the right you can see how to create them, after clicking a roadpoint. Play around with it a little, and you'll see how they work. IMO they're quite an essential addition graphics-wise.
Sorry for my unstable hand btw
And it was just a few houses on the road, only 3 or so to my very quick and ''accurate'' count.

Just go for it mate,
you're doing great.
Don't forget to add those extra IB houses on the roads (beside them that is)
Keep in mind that Boucles Mayenne only have 2 KoM cats. At least that has been so for last years I think. I struggled with my XML versions since the cd files pointed on stages with different setups.
I'm sure to make a correct XML file for this race if you decide to make it.
I guess you have a check on those Point Chaud and Grimpeur possitions and categories.

Classico Furka has been corrected and reuploaded (same download link), while Löbau and Tremola are being reuploaded now (although just the download links in the thread, I'll edit the ones in the stage db if possible later), although I might not fix Benelux and Hellas until tomorrow.
EDIT: Finished uploading by the time I finished writing
@clamel: Thanks mate. Hopefully I can begin on Boucles Mayenne tonight then.

Finally managed to get myself to make a stage, feeling motivated again and I have an overdue stage request, so hoping this motivation stays.

Algiers, World Championships ITT
Here's an ITT to go along with the Road Race. I've also added an extra lap of the circuit to the road race.
Download: Both of the races are downloadable at the same link: https://www.media...ixrlv48t5p

That looks good but isn't it a bit too short to be a World ITT? Afaik in the last 10 years none was shorter than 43 kms (in the last 5 none shorter than 45)!
The RR doesn't look that long either, 220 kms compared to the 255+ of the normal WCs so yeah, that's something that can be improved
For the rest, nice work!

RR is actually 245 now since I added another lap to the route.
ITT is a bit short though as you said, might take a look at making it a bit longer.
Thanks for the feedback though

ITT is now 46km long, going up the (much steeper but shorter) descent of the road race. The download link has been updated.
Mixed up the exports though so the RR in the download only has 6 laps, will make it 7 (or maybe 8 actually) tomorrow morning.

Finally finished updating these stages. The Road Race is now 269km long, making it much more appropriate for a WC route. Same download link and the profiles have been updated in the posts above.

Thanks
Dan Martin was winning there, ahead of Ewan and Chaves iirc.

Course du Lac d'Annecy
This race goes round the Lac d'Annecy three times, the first time it tackles both La Tournette and Semnoz, the second time just Semnoz and the final time round the lake it only tackles La Tournette before 20km of flat rounds into Annecy.
The route suits climbers who are good on the closing flat rounds, and generally it seems the final sprint is determined by who is least tired rather than the best sprinter. The relatively short length (10km) of the final climb means that occasionally strong puncheurs can survive the final climb despite being weak of average climbers (in one test of the stage Gerrans (66Mo) finished in the leading group and both Gilbert and Benoot have been near the front at the end).

Once again any feedback in appreciated.
Also it may be a little bit before I post a stage as I finish off a request.

I like the idea of the route, it could prove to be a very interesting outcome. Just a few remarks:
First, for the Alps, I'd recommend using more pine trees instead of the undergrowth (I think) you used here. If you look at the pics
you can see pine trees. They start at a certain altitude and are especially predominant there because the other trees can't grow there anymore. Then at a certain altitude no more trees grow (this varies a bit, I'm not sure about the exact height). I myself tend to hold 2500m above sea level as the absolute limit of trees, but above 2000 meters it really thins out already. (For exact altitudes Google Streetview can often be helpful). What I recommend is that for the varying altitudes you use mountain_medium_altiude and mountain_high_altitude (these resemble each other a bit) and for 2000+ use the mountain_veryhigh and play around with the slider of especially trees density.
(I must admit I haven't played or looked at the stage, but this tip is all deduced from the screens you posted)
And for all your stages, an idea could be two smoothen your slopes. This can be done by selecting two road points (with CTRL + clicking the points) and then press CTRL+M. This improves both the look of the profile and the quality of gameplay.

Thanks for the tips, I never really thought about how the tress vary at different heights, but I'll edit that into my stage as well as smoothening the slopes.
