I hope the streak of great classic racing continues at the monuments, Omloop, Kuurne, Dwars, E3, Wevelgem have all been exceptional.

It has to be, absolutely best part of the season for me, cant wait for monuments.
Good that Sagan can ride with a bit less pressure now. He definetely looked strongest, with Cancellara at cobbles this season.

He got hit by a motorbike while on the ground after a crash, I read. With Daan Myngeer still fighting for his life as well, this could be a very black weekend.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Kuurne: Wisniowski 5th
Dwars: Gaviria 10th
E3: Trentin 12th
GW: Gaviria 6th
Incredible.

Soo... 10 points to whoever predicted Gaviria would be Etixx's best rider in the classics at this point

There cobbles team is pretty bad. I was hoping Breschel might be able to do something but that was always a long shot. More disappointing is how God-awful Sebastien Langeveld has been at Garmin comparitively to before his transfer from Greenedge.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Good to see a classic in which the riders don't wait till the sprint. Nice movement in the last hill that proves this: "If you attack well, it doesn't matter how far you did it. You can win" (I invented it, eh )
I would have laughed at all if Kuznetsov had won this. I guess he deserves 78 cobbles, right Arberg?

They have a major problem, they have 5-6 good riders, but no one able to follow when it matters. Espeically Stybar is worrying, both in Harelbeke and Wevelgem he was there when the race was decided and simply wasn't good enough to follow. Terpstra can't get over a hill it seems, he only comes to the front when it's flat again and they're forced to chase. Boonen seems to be full of self doubt, he's riding for Trentin and Gaviria instead of going for his own chances. Only Vandenbergh is at his normal level, problem is he'll never win.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yes I agree. Maybe one of them gets in peak shape still but right now it looks like Cance vs 2agan with GVA and Sep in the mix too, Etixx meanwhile just doing.. stuff, riding hard without clear plan, working just for a chance.

Anyone knows if there's anything the matter with Gougeard?
Since his DNF in Paris - Nice stage 5, he has DNF in DDV, E3 and G-W.
Something going on or just not the legs? |

Don't know about DDV and E3, but at G-W he didn't even start. |

In Harelbeke, Styby had the puncture and sat on the Cance-train. It must have hurt a lot so when Sagan and Kwito went, he couldn't follow. He was the only along with Trentin to try tho so the rest were as empty. Today he also just missed the cut, it looked to me as if he was badly placed on the foot of the climb, but definitely not as good as the 3 best today. Stybar is the only one on QS who can win Flanders, but they will always have numbers advantage and in Flanders and P-R they can use that better than today. Styby is probably the 5th best cobbles rider atm, but Cance and Sagan are just a level above right now it seems with GVA and Vanmarcke as 3 and 4. Trentin seems like their second best bet for Flanders, honestly.
For Roubaix, I think they will have a better shot at winning with Boonen, Terpstra and Stybar. It also suits Vandenberg and Martin a lot more, but I think they will disappoint on Sunday and maybe place 2 riders in top-10. |

idk but etixx strategy is so freakin shit.. if i remember well that stage in tirrento when stybar was in the breakaway with the leader's jersey while etixx riding like nuts to catch the breakaway with tony martin leadin the peloton .. idk what they declared after that race but for me it was such a stupid move cuz basically they beat themself right there..
also the declarations after the E3, they were so mad, i think bonnen told that the guys from chasing group did not cooperate and things like that.. but who the fuck cooperates vs 4 guys from the same team right there? in that group they were only 2 from trek (cancellara who was toasted, he made that huge comeback + stuyven), 2 from bmc(oss+1), vanmarke from tlj, 1 from astana, 1 from lotto s, 1 from sky (stannard i think) and 4 from etixx, stybar bonnen tepstra and trentin (hope i remember well).. etixx should have done something and not blame the others cuz they had no interest in working on that group..
