They might not be a "strong cobbles team", I'm however strongly convinced that they are stronger than a PCT team with 2 declining riders in it.

Tinkoff is also sttronger with Sagan, Blythe and Gatto. Declining dodgy italians wont get you far...

Southeast is immediately the 2nd strongest team for the cobbles behind QUickstep!
Haha yes and Voeckler will finish 4th in the Tour!
I heard Merckx is also making a comeback, prepare for utter domination!
Times change, people get older.
Those 2 won't amount to much anymore, I reckon. A top 10 would be a miracle in a big classic |

Yes. Totally deserved obviously with a former MSR winner in Goss.
I mean I thought he would give it a try again with a new team in smaller races. In Dubai at least he was sprinter no.3 behind the big names like Opie.
Wonder if Goss can improve to no.2 in Langkawi? |

Boeckmans returned to spain half a year after his crash. He symbolicaly "finished" the stage of his bad crash. I do hope he can get back to a decent level.
In other news Kevin De Weert takes over from Carlo Bomans as national coach for Belgium. It's an odd choice, since he's younger than Tom Boonen. But in the past he was the guy you could aways rely on, Gilbert always picked him as personal domestique for the worlds, even though he was riding for a different team.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Absolutely lovely to see him out of his bed and back on his bike already. |

Really great to see him out on the bike, especially finishing off the stage.

RE Boeckmans: How long does it take to take down a finish line?

Damn, back to only one major American race and even that is hardly important to any Europeans teams.

Is anything happening with the Richmond WC route? It really had potential to become a classic in my opinion.

You thought it was that good? You're Belgian aren't you? I would've thought you'd like to see a proper cobble race.
Anyway, I'll admit it did have a certain mount of atmosphere and could make it as a classic.

Well, add more cobbles and it would be a less open race. Not every cobbles race needs to be crazy with cobbles. I'd definitely like to see another race in Richmond.
