Break survives in San Luis. Argentinian Tivani wins. The bunch was held up by a crash.
I have never seen any crash like that. Easy straight road and the guy leading the bunch crashes and takes everyone down with him.
Edit: some rumours about Quintana breaking his collarbone (RadioPopularSanLuis)

Certainly one of the most remarkable crashes in recent years. Very bad news about Quintana.

Apparently his wheel went into a crack in the road and if you watch it closely enough it makes sense with the way he came down, pretty bad luck for that to happen

Gaviria with broken left arm and Contreras with too much of an open wound on his knee both have to abandon the race.
Still Ettix Quickstep really found to big talents in them, who repeated their 2015 performance in this race. |

It`s not cyclingnews.
San Luis official site offered a live stream for every stage already. Cyclingnews just linked their youtube channel.
Regarding that Giant Alpecin crash. This is horrible news. Really hope all of them will come backas quickly as possible. In especially those that got hit hard and might have serious injury.
In the end it`s really lucky that all of them are stable and not worse has happened. This picture alone as also their comments says enough how lucky they were. |

Petit takes his 3rd! stage win in Gabon, by winning the short I.T.T. He also takes the lead in GC with 12 seconds to Palini. Okubamariam dropped from 1st to 4th place, 20 seconds behind Petit.

Colombia is dominating in San Luis, with López winning ahead of the Quintana brothers. The youngest, Dayer, takes the lead in GC. Sepúlveda following at 20 seconds with one more stage to go.
The Quintanas might become a better brother pair than the Schlecks were, if they keep this up. |

Very pleasing result in San Luis there, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing the two Quintanas in action more over the course of the season. Nairo has said a couple of times (although this may just be his innate modesty) that he thinks his brother will be better than him, so I guess the Schleck comparisons might be valid in that regard. I'm expecting a major result from not-so-Big Mig this year - I think he's down as doing the Vuelta this year, shame that there aren't really any proper mountains there for him (apart from Aubisque stage) to strut his stuff, so maybe Suisse or somewhere would be the place to look out for him, remembering his good ride on the Rettenbachferner last year.
