What a rough year 2015 has been for the newborn greek team. We couldn't achieve any of our season goals, our key riders were rarely useful, and we finished in the bottom of the Continental Tour, in 23rd place. But our few wins and great stages might have convinced our sponsors : all of them have a signed for an other year with the team leaded by Juan Carlos Rienda and Jaroslav Kulhavy. We're now looking for better days, after being close to disbandment. On this idea, we hired a new designer, Metà . Well known in France but less overseas, our shirtmaker prepared a beautiful shirt, that will be easily findable in the peloton. Our plans for 2016 ? Refreshing the roster by getting rid of our disapointing riders like Christos Volikakis, and trying to race better while keeping our nationalist recruitment politic.

Thanks all for the kind comments on the shirts
We had quite easy renewals this year : everything was OK after the first round of talks. After their good 2015 season, our leaders Ilias, Kulhavy and Rienda accepted to sign for an other year, with relatively small upgrades of wage. We keep a similar team after the renewals period, even if we decided to release 4 riders : Ioannis Tamouridis was becoming too old, and Volikakis, Efstathiou and Skettos didn't match our "climbing requirements". Elta-Hellenic Post now has 14 riders, we will hopefully fill the free spaces with useful riders for 2016 !
On this table (based on Roman's one ), you can find all the information about our renewals, and the availability of our riders

First signing : Nikolaos Ioannidis
We signed our 15th rider today : Nikolaos Ioannidis ! He brings us some fresh air in the greek area, and he should become useful as we are expecting a big signing in the upcoming hours...

Haha, I raced against him last week. He finished 5th, I finished 6th. You're building a pretty cool team of Greek guys!

They are leaving : Aleksei Saramotins and Clive Ebejer
The Latvian TT champion Saramotins and the only active maltese cyclist in the Man-Game Clive Ebejer left Greece and Elta-Hellenic Post. Good luck to them at Vivacom - Datamap, the new bulgarian team !
----------------------------
A top gun : Emanuele Sella
The Man-Game world went crazy for a few minutes after the deal made with Shimano - Siam Cement became public. Emanuele Sella, 35, agreed for probably one his last challenges : helping a team to promote from CT. He'll be for sure one of the top contenders in the Continental division this year.

Coming on loan : Alexander Foliforov
We didn't achieve to loan in Shalunov with Foliforov, but we still have a nice domestique for mountain stages ! He also have a very nice endurance that should be really useful while working for Sella. He seems to have an attacking temperament, and we like that !

@ivaneurope : I'm looking forward to see what your team will look like
Hopefully better than Volikakis : Armindo Fonseca
After signing our climbing leader, we found our new main sprinter with the frenchman Armindo Fonseca ! Coming from Vontobel in PCT, he proved to be a great sprinter despite limited climbing abilities. He was the 5th best sprinter as the great Tour of America ! He'll probably get us a few wins in 2016.

Goodbye to Simantirakis and G.Bouglas
Sadly, 2 riders had to leave the team because of salary cap problems. Georgios Bouglas (picture) is going for free at the World Cycling Centre, while Vasileios Simantirakis is forced to become a free agent. Maybe an end to his career, as he's 37 years old.
----------------------------
Haijun Ma joins the team !
The time trial flash sales from Jayco'z Cycling Project attracted us, and we managed to make a 400k deal for the chinese rider Haijun Ma. He might not have superb climbing abilities, but he should deliver points on the time trials we will race. Next to Sakellaridis (75 TT) and Katrakis (73 TT), it's a great trio we have from Team Time Trials too. We are at 15 riders now, the minimum CT limit.

Fonseca won us two stages in our 2014 CT season. He's pretty much a reliable yougetwhatyousee kind of sprinter still able to perform. But don't know if he can score victories as CT-competition seems to get harder every year.
Anyway, good luck for the season!
