#599 - With his price he needs to score big! Thrilled that we win the prologue and, for that matter, that a stage favourite wins a TT. In this 'battle of the titans' Froome could be the weakest on this Giro course so this start is huge for us. |

Not starting well for us, but to be honest, prologue its not our terrain |

Nieve losing 36 seconds, but I'm not really concerned by that given his bad prologue abilities.
EDIT: Exclamation mark made this sound very different.

Bardet lost 38 seconds! His TT is not much better, chose this grand tour for him as it had the least time trialing.

University of Lincoln GP with a lovely result. 2nd & 4th is awesome!
Gilbert already a save nomination for rider of the year and a truely title contender if he wins WT cobbled races as well!
Giro starts disappointing. Dreamed of the pink jersey and had imo realistic hopes for both Gretsch und Grivko so I'm a tad bit disappointed that i only got 3. and 6.. Now the hope is on Ciolek to deliver some stage wins to avoid losing all chances to beat ProRace in the rankings.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Contador even worse than Quintana in the prologue... oh my.
They have the same prologue stat, In the longer TT Contador should have the upper hand.
Stage 2 and 3 of the both Giro's posted: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....st_1137169
Spoiler While the big Giro had rather boring stages, the small Giro's mountain stages were very entertaining to watch for me, Especially in the 3rd stage where Navarro rode away with Ochoa already 60 kilometres from the finish and from then on the attacks started and every leader was on his own. I'll try to make a video for the last mountain stage there. |

Andy Byrne wearing the KoM jersey in his first ever GT? I'll take that.
Nice effort so far from Davies but he clearly needs to follow the right attacks and a podium is definitely on.

Fast joining a break to get 11th on stage 2 Is good, one day we'll win from one of them.
Thanks bikex for the results.

Some serious BS from Ochoa. Podium a stage, that's enough to keep me from flipping. For now

Hofland once again not trying to sprint. I don't think he'll stay another season.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Brilliant race by Navarro to take the win and the lead. It'll be tough enough to keep Engeldinger's hands off it for the next three stages but VDP could be vital help for that. Finally a win and some good scoring on other part.
I'd welcome a vid of Navarro's stage win very much.
Also, it's good to see that Illes Balears is taking up chasing duties, and even get rewarded with Maglia Azzura for the time being.

what a stunning performance by Laas to be 6th after 2 mountain stages, especially that 3rd on the Engeldinger win was amazing from my main sprinter

Decent Giro start for Nairo so far.
Loving the "battle of the titans"-banner, the startlist is crazy strong even looking below the big 4. No way Duarte will defend his GC top ten from last season.
Ardennes:
Not a single standout result from Ecopetrol, not even a podium, but a good bunch of WT points. Henao looked surprisingly strong in LBL, he started his sprint a little to late I guess.
Trentino:
Finally the first GC win for Uran
His gc palmares so far included 4 second and 5 third places

Probably I should have brought Bouhanni to the Giro, now it's just Allianz winning all over again.

#577: Not to forget that time when he crashed out in Colombia while leading the race.
Vangenechten: crazy to finish 2nd on such a stage, its not like when he was the best sprinter in a GT as in ICL season 1.
We still have the lead which is great but stage 4 could end that with overpowered Allianz looking to make it 3 wins on the bounce: where is Cavendish?
Though these pink jersey points keep our candles burning nicely. |
