Awesome to see Bikex getting some help after he powered through 1/4 of the season already. Riders from both my teams in the break is nice, too bad Van Keirsbulck started his sprint just a tad late.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well, I was surprised that Tybor finished last stage of Istrian on 3rd place, but it was looking like a breakaway. Happy that Bikex got a help with posting results & playing some races. That ICL is a lot fun .
In my first season I already have 4 stage wins, and one GC. And that's Paris-Nice. Now my team have some break, because next race is Trentino and Fleche Wallonne. GL to all! |

Thanks Matt!
It was a difficult decision how to split forces for these two classics but I'm happy with the outcome.
Dwars Doors awesome of course with the victory for GVA. Actually, I'm a bit surprised about that victory as I had weak support with only the likes of Benoot or Hushovd there. Thus, it was important to get into the break.
In Kobenhavn I was rather disappointed with Senechal. He could surely have done more in a CT. 2 race . Mainly due to the imo unexpected mass sprint. Willwohl and Geyer stepped up though to make it a strong race for me as well.
Combined another 250 points from these two classics which is awesome once again
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

On MSR: This year's version was by far the most sprinter-friendly version of the race so far. Some hills from previous seasons were left out and Cippressa and Poggio were less challenging than in other versions.
I don't think Goss is a totally random winner. Being in the top 5 in three different WT classics can't be only based on luck imo. Compared to other sprinters Goss has rather high energy and flat stats. PCM15 seems to like that. Ofc he still wouldn't be a top favourite, but on a good day he can challenge the best, which he did this season quite often already.
@DaveTwoBob: Cavendish was still very much in front at the Poggio, but cracked just before the top. I even covered it at 4:05. Matthews probably spent most of his energy protecting Cav.
@knockout: I also doubt the sprint train is decided in a lottery also at Palm Classic. Also Sagan didn't do pulls at 30 km to go, he was just caught by the peloton together with Boonen after they attacked shortly before the video started.
Thank you Matt for helping me out a little. Was interested how it would turn out to have two cobbled races at the same time in CT. Kobenhavn turned out much less selective than the last years. I think it's because these are PCM13 stages used. The cobbles seem to not have a big influence when not converted into PCM15 stages. Funny to see the two Lithuanian sprinters taking 2nd and 3rd. With more results like that Lithuania could make the cut to get a team at the World Championships this year. In CT LTU is currently 12th in the nation rankings just one spot behind Germany.
Lucky win for GVA at Dwars door seeing that Stybar passed him just behind the finish line. He seems to do well in CT.1 cobbled races, also winning one for me last season. Happy to see Vanmarcke continue is aggresive style, attacking already 30 kilometres from the finish. Decent result from him as 6th. |

Amazed that some WT teams took all of their big leaders to a CT race. I barely had enough race days to even take my leaders to the races that matter.
With that, Stannard got a chance to lead and, as usual, failed. Hopefully, Dibben will improve enough so that I can finally get rid of him at the end of the season. 78 FTR and he never attacks. Brilliant.

4th is alright in Dwars Door Vlaanderen but still hoping for more once we get to the main cobbled classics. Thanks Matt for the results

For me that is the worst edition of MSR I have witnessed in PCM. That race can be PCM at its best. What we just saw was a cakewalk up the final two climbs at a slow pace. I am not complaining about the result: just the lack of action.
Thanks Bikex for another top video and praise be Matt for helping out.
Dwars Door Vlaanderen = great to be in the front group, that is a good omen, with Larsson making our second breakaway of the season.
Kobenhaven - 43rd is not a good omen for the baby classics coming up. |

Thanks Bikex, I will have to take another look if I can stomach a repeat . I guess thats what happens when you don't have much strength in depth - starting to think about recruitment for next season which at this pace and with Matt's help (thanks Matt) will be not long after Christmas!
Edit - watched the video again and I have 3 guys in the top 15 at 3:33 on the Poggio, so close and yet so far.

Only 5th in Sanremo, a bit disappointing but not too bad after the previous results. Good to see Herr Klotz working in the peloton, but had expected that Villella would do some work in the end for John.
Bring on the cobbles. |

Sidekick you beast Fortin and Bevin just missing out on top 10 and 30 respectively as well is ok

More than a month per week, that's a fantastic pace
April will be a good month for us I hope. One of the busiest for sure, with the Ardennes tryptique, as well as most of the cobbled races and Ster and home race Campania where we hope Malori can grab an important result.

Something else for you guys: Criterium International, first 2 stages. Stage 3 will come later this evening, most likely

Talansky with a promising TT again. Hopefully he won't underperform again in stage 3 now though
April will be hard, had expected a bit weaker field in Colombia (Contador and Rodriguez ), but a good result should be doable.
And the DT will be rubbish as usual

Wow. We are doing so well. Gerrans with a GC win, and another two stagewins. Much much better than anticipated.

Thanks matt.
Roubaix U23 and E3 Prijs up, we are close to finishing March.
Edit: That Criterium International GC after stage 2
Surprised to see already a big gap to some contenders after the first flat stage.
