Front side spammed with all those ICL threads.
Now rankings updated and February preview added.
You see this has now these tiny jerseys in them. I think this makes it a little better looking. Thanks bwiggins for the idea. |

Great pace to start the season off. Nice to see us get our first win of the season. Finally my team got a TTT right.
Other than that I got a piece of the Brewers curse with two 11th places in the first two races of the season. |

I'm glad that my riders can finish in a top 10 at some stages. La Tropicale Amissa Bongo wasn't the best race for me. Hoped for better places on flat stages from Ferrari (okey, 5th & 8th place isn't that bad at all, at least for me ).
But Christchurch - Akaroa was quite good. Santambrogio 4th, just after the podium. Very active Marczyński in the end. I'm glad of that two top 10 places in this race .
Still waiting for Ulissi to start his calendar ^^. |

Ochoa making sure it wasn't a complete failur in home race. Atkins good, Bennett disappointing

So then. Mark Christian. That just happened.
If my second weakest (and therefore cheapest) rider can do that, what's the excuse for the others? Awful start to the season but at least we got some points there.

Remember when I though Paris Vasco was mountainous.
Imagine if I had set it as a goal race like that
Oh well, Nieve and De Gendt can do well.
Btw we seem td I better in rankings as a continental team
Thanks bikex though, and those jersey are amazing

This speed
Slagter doing a really good job finishing up Gabon, Mollema a bit disappointing after all that work from Hofland and Stuyven in the video. Deserved win by Gilbert though.
February will be a quiet month for us. Pais Vasco will see a similar startlist, let's see what Mollema can do here!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

'No jerseys for two seasons and then three come along at once'!
Gilbert merckxing it like it ain't nobody's business. What a show: needless to say I am over the moon and into the sun with that. One of the best moments in our history there: savour, savour - savour.
The Basque country route was more than hilly enough for Gilbert to go there, definitely not as hopeful of a great GC result there as for the pure puncheur route of Australia we just had: sure all the stages are rated hilly, but there the mountains might rear up.
Others: Very nice win for Filliers in the Gabon, super move sending their second puncheur there. Bunzl very aggressive in the vids, style over substance at the moment for them. Christian looking good on the attack. Festina - Canal+ doing well in CT: did their baas even pick their riders? If not, then too well!
Those mini-jerseys are an excellent addition, sure are.
So much going on in the ICl right now, what a show Bikex!

Edit: No Purrito in the Basque Country? oO |

Pretty disappointed that Brambilla dropped the ball in the last stage of la Tropicale, but at least he got a win out of it, and in terms of points we're sitting much more average than I thought we would. I'm just happy we're not behind any U23 teams.

Well if Rojas keeps this kind of racing going it could be a solid year for Fiskars...

Woah, what the hell is going on over at Fiskars, insane scoring.
Yeah no Purito for Pais Vasco. My team has so little race days. ;(

Exactly, I just didn't set that one as a goal because I figured Shonak would go bananas when deciding which riders to take and instead went with Toowomba, which, needless to say, quite disappointed me.
Moser remaining with the best and finishing 5th was not brilliant at all but still it was going to bode well for the following stage but yeah, he lost 1 min 27 someway somehow. Hey ho. We'll redeem ourselves in Pais Vasco, right? RIGHT?!!? Nice work by TR's lads to grab their first GC win though, happy that the clear favourite won it, bitter about my 6th.
Then there's a very decent final at La Tropicale won by Slagter who slagtered them all in the hilly stages with Colbrelli tearing the sprint stages apart first and then fading away when he had the last 2 chances, but still taking a strong 3rd in points and 7th in GC, behind a better than expected Wackermann who takes a nice 5th GC and podium on last stage. Hoping he can keep up these kinds of results for the whole season.
Well in February we're only racing in Euskadi - completely awesome previews btw, those minijerseys make it even better than how already it is - we need to 'redeem ourselves' after some yes good, but still not totally satisfying results. Watch out.
Ah and then there's the rankings to round it off. Look at how overwhelmingly fast this is. Jeez. Thank you Bikex
Well we are 8th in WT, a bit higher up in the Prestige rankings, and this is probably not much higher than how we will be this season. Expecting to climb something after February but our main objectives are doing well in the only focus race left - yup we had 2 in january - which is Strade Bianche, and obviously miraclously avoid relegation. We can do it I think. I hope. Gawd sorry for the wall of text, but had to catch up

This sums up a lot of what I wanted to write. Awesome job by Rojas and Festina with strong season planning in January
I can be satisfied with Toowoomba results. Ciolek disappointed but Kern stepped up and scored well. Certainly , I did not expect him to deliver anything but he was more of a versatile domestique.
Rankings look okayish but I certainly hoped for more points from Palm. Yes, Kittel won it, but Sagan , Kristoff and Ciolek should have scored more! Especially trailing Prorace and Gazprom by such a margin hurts. We can't let the gap rise too much before the classic season as we've got to get a lead there for the GTs ^^
February will be a dull month for CarbonSports. Only Pais Vasco on the schedule and with only Geschke as leader I can't expect to many points. Perhaps going for the mountain jersey would be nice.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Back from a weekend away and one month finished already!
Happy with top 10 in WT.
Bling Matthews just getting the NC jersey Bikex created for him (big thanks ) in a screenshot with 3rd in the final Toowoomba stage. Bardet seemed to treat this race as a winter sun break, hope he decides to race the next one.
Dev team still only there for the experience.
Fiskars off to a great start in CT!

Thanks for the rapid pace, bikex, really appreciating it
2nd place by Kwiatkowski was brilliant in Toowomba.
Though TheRider is probably right, bringing Tsatevich and Bouhanni didn't pay off in the end. I should have rather brought better TTers to support Kwiatkowski. On the other hand I expected Bouhanni to grab one or two stages...
In the end, I'm glad Kwiatkowski tried to win the race on the last stage again, it just didn't work out.
Rankings are quite good. But they aren't really worth anything at this point of the season. Honestly, I think we'll drop quite a bit as this season is supposed to build up the team for the next one.
PS: @knokout - Stop calling us Gazprom! We changed to a very nice sponsor now that is doing great stuff and we're proud of that

Meijers wins the Tropicale KoM!
Never thought he would be our first rider to get a stage race jersey, but very happy with his performance so far.
Reinders and Van der both good early too, but so annoying that the one day Bos and Van Poppel get the sprint working is the day where a breakaway rider survives to the end.
Not too bad in the rankings, Fiskars and Achieve look the favourites to regain WT status while we'll likely end up fighting for third with teams like Renova, La Gazzetta, Taco Bell, Leopard and Festina.

Quiet start to the season for Saeco. Spilak tried to move up the standings but he aint no hilly monster and team chrono just wasn't a priorty for the squad this year. Wuite excited to see Roman start his season in the Basque country.
Sensational pace of reporting BikeX, really enjoying seeing all the teams in action.

Somehow Daniel was our best scoring rider in Gabon, but seeing the preview for Mallorca Rolland is about to change that!
