Nice work by Moser to stay in the first 20 of the peloton in Toowomba - incredible work by Allianz btw, but I'm really impressed by what my team is doing in Bakari's homecountry!
Wackermann with a more sweet than bitter 2nd in Stage 1 while Sonny does exactly what I've taken him there for: win. Sad about the split in Stage 3 but I'm more than confident the lads can still take it home
Thanks for the update Bikex, good to know PCM 15 is giving a good impression so far!

Thanks for the update bikex
Toowomba not good for us though, with De Gendt losing time I'm now worried about his whole season as one of our leaders, too early to make calls though.
Also we really didn't pick enough CT.2 races...
Gasteur was in the break at least.
and seriously wow Allianz.

Slagter not in top shape yet obviously, but a few stages left to fix it. After our bad luck in Palm bay, Mollema and SLagter really need to save our january
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Considering this "pure destruction done by Allianz and Carbonsports cutting the peloton into pieces" very pleased Aussie champ Matthews stayed in the leading group for Toowoomba.
Not looking forward to the TTT though.
Congratulations to Allianz great 1-2.
Thanks to Bikex for an exciting start to the season .

Destruction in Australia. Only one for us in the first group, but thank goodness that one is Gilbert. He really looks up for it. He is well poised to take the race lead in the TTT, ohh could this be our first ever GC win on the cards!?
A really strong start to the season from CarbonSports/Allianz/UNHCR Pro Cycling: some ground to make up already!
Thanks Bikex, great to see some good action here, though I would have loved a video of stage 1! |

I expected the stage to be a dull sprint stage. Didn't think a video would be interesting.
I made a video for the TTT though, so all teams from this years WT can be seen at least once. I haven't played the last deciding hilly stage yet if you guys want I can make a video of it.

In general if you want a video for a stage/race just tell me and I'll make one. That way I know that the video I make is also interesting for someone. |

Well, at least I still have Mark Christian in the lead group.
WTF.
Remind me why I keep paying these guys?

Petit disappointing so far on the only flat stage, but he has an entire season to improve himself!

Yes Brambilla! Victory! Not sure why Matthews (Darren) went in the break while he was 3rd in the gc...

Awesome! I love when my team take those pulls to destroy the front group! That's simply outstanding!
2 Hilly stages are left and the TTT are left and with 3 guys in the 19-man front group I suddenly feel like a good GC might be possible
I was interested and looked at who still in good (=Top 25) GC positions:
Achieve Northside :
13. Edvald Boasson Hagen (76HI) +10s
17. Julian Alaphilippe (72HI) +10s
TTT team: 75-75-75-71-71-70-66
Allianz:
1 Daniele Ratto (76HI)
2 Gianni Meersman (75HI) +4s
16 Jens Debusschere (71HI) +10s
21 Nicolas Roche (77HI) +1'04
22 Elia Favilli (72HI) +1'14
23 Jan Polanc (76HI) +1'15
TTT : 73-73-71-69-68-65-62
Bunzl:
15 Mark Christian (68HI) +10s
TTT: 76-76-74-72-67-65-65
CarbonSports:
8 Gerald Ciolek (75HI)
14 Julian Kern (74HI)
19 Rüdiger Selig (72HI)
25 Andriy Grivko (74HI)
74-73-72-71-68-64-63
Celesio
24 Benedikt Kendler (69HI) +1'16
TTT: 77-76-74-74-74-70-70
Ecopetrol
7 Sergio Henao (78HI) +10'
TTT: 71-71-71-70-70-69-66
Eurosport
10 Michael Matthews (74HI) +10
TTT: 78-75-71-71-69-64-63
Filliers:
6 Bauke Mollema (79HI) +10
TTT: 73-72-69-68-67-65-63
ProRace:
3 Philippe Gilbert (80HI) +6
TTT: 75-73-73-72-71-71-71
Smartone
18 Greg Henderson (65HI)
TTT: 74-67-66-65-65-64-64
Alitalia
9 Moreno Moser (79HI) +10
TTT: 79-74-72-70-64-64-57
Random Letters - Gazprom
4 Nacer Bouhanni (70HI) +9
5 Michał Kwiatkowski (78HI) +10
20 Campbell Flakemore (69HI) +39
TTT: 78-77-76-76-74-70-64
Vegeta
11 Alejandro Valverde (77HI) +10
12 Luis León Sánchez (76HI) +10
TTT: 76-72-71-70-67-65-57
This makes me think that Kwiatek and Gilbert are even more standout favourites than before the stage but behind them the rest of the best puncheurs left in the front group (Mollema, Henao, Moser) seem to have rather weak TTT team with them. Boasson Hagen could be one of those to profit from that. Could turn out a great gamble for Achieve
Ciolek could easily grab a top ten GC as well if he can stay with the better TTers but even if, it harms him that i did not select Gretsch instead of someone like Kern.
The five mentioned puncheurs from the preview all made the selection which i really appreciate as well.
And yes, I was really bored
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Don't know why he did it. At the first stage he was surprisingly strong, as he pulled the peloton for some time before leading out the sprint for Brambilla and still finishing. The first points for Barbados in ICL history.
One more stage of each Tropicale Amissa Bongo and Tour of Toowoomba added.
Here the video of the TTT:
Sorry The Rider something doesn't seem to work with your TT Frames I'll look in the next days what the issue can be but I guess some files are missing and the problem was already in the EP database. |

Was hoping that Matti Breschel could make a top 5 maybe even top 3 after being third after 3 stages in Gabon. But for some reason he lost 3 minutes on a relatively flat and short stage (maybe you can explain what happened Bikex?). Now Horner is our best rider and hopefully he will take a top 10!

Well the stage is still rated as hilly and Breschel just wasn't part of the deciding attacks when they went of. But it also didn't really seem like he cared to be part of them as he just stayed with the field. |

A new season, a new disappointment from Theo Bos
Looks like the CT division is far more even than last year, which is great for the competition but means that we're likely to stay at this level since I didn't make a big signing in the off-season. At least Van der Lijke is back to doing well and Meijers might actually bring home our first jersey win, so it's not all bad.

10th isn't bad in the TTT, but it doesn't really matter anyway given we are now out of the GC running anyway and can only hope for a stage or KOM.
Thanks for the update bikex

We sucked in the TTT. Not sure what exactly went so wrong taking Malori Moser and Bouet there, oh well, something to improve next year (although yeah, it's probably been that sucky 57 tt guy).
Anyway it looks like Gilbert has it, I'm confident Moser can still snatch a podium tho.
Nothing new at La Tropicale really, well yeah, there's something new, but it's sad for me that the gamble of taking Colbrelli as a leader there didn't pay off - yeah it may sound kind of stupid but I actually hoped he would win all the sprint stages and then not lose too much in the hilly ones - but had to expect it I guess. Wackermann is still going strong though! Hope he can still hang in his 5th place and maybe even improve that one but not many stages left. Awesome to know he's actually going really decent because he's one of those ? riders according to last year.
Thanks for the update Bikex.

We got the lead! Throughout the video I kept wondering how well UNHCR would do (with the top TTT teams missing the split on stage 1) : well bringing their top sprinter didn't come off here for the TTT. Up to the team to bring Gilbert to the final of the hilly stages now and he should finish it off from there: fingers crossed.
Stage 4 of Gabon looked harder than I expected, but with a profile like that the last 1 KM might be all over 10%.
