It's time to open the Race Discussion thread. I now have all startlists for January and will start playing the first races now.
In the team thread I now posted a kind of preview for January, I'll always do that now at the beginning of a month. It's to get a small overview over the races that are in the month. Hope you like it.
I always include ~10 riders, with the top favourites at the top and in a stage race with sprinters at the bottom. Sorry if I miss a rider sometimes, it can happen.
Also I was wondering if you'd like me to do videos of some races this season or think it's pointless. In any case it won't be many but I'll try to do one sometime. Then also some NCs get screentime maybe.
Edit: Once I get all startlists, I'll be able to upload all stuff that's needed to report a race. Many have offered their help already, so thanks for that.

The monthly preview post is an awesome addition. I love it!
We start the season with one of my favourite races: Palm Classic. It is like the perfect race for Kittel and with his superb sprinting team he has won both editions so far. I once went all out for this one by bringing Sagan and i think Kristoff as well (?) and multiple strong leadout men in case Sagan and Kristoff go on their own which I indeed would like. Actually, my team could form two leadout trains
Toowoomba was awesome in the first year for my team but this year I have fewer expectations. Ciolek Is my man here and he should do well as he can cope well with hills but since I have sold all my TTer over the years I have no expectations for the GC.
I have no idea how much effort it would take to make videos but I think it's an interesting idea ( Mainly for classics ). Would defo watch em
Toowoomba is the real season start for us, in the first season we had some really good scoring there, in the second one not so much. Let's see if there's the first real TTT duel with Prorace already.

I don't really care if you make videos or not, probably I'd watch them, but pace is more important to me.
The previews though are great. Again, I'm not sure how much of work that is though..
And January hopefully will be a great month for us. Bouhanni will maybe do something in Palm Classic, but more importantly we are top favourites with Kwiatkowski in Toowomba (and Bouhanni is there as well).
On top of that: Oh my, we're going to dominate the U23 sprints this year

Liking those new additions, especially monthly previews will be totally great to have.
Well Moser needs to win us Toowomba otherwise that's a step forward towards failure
As for Palm I'm hoping Colbrelli can snatch a top 10 but that won't happen prolly.
So first teams to beat are Allianz in Indonesia and Achieve both CT.2 races. One strong WT-lineup and one absolute CT beast Boasson Hagen and mates to scratch the party of...

Will you settle for second? .... Please! A much anticipated race for us in Toowomba, Gilbert is there on a route which really suits him. Supported with a quality TTT setup ....
Spoiler
which of course means everyone over 71 in TT
... as I said in our preview our TTT strength has diminished, though we hope we can compete with Brewers & Shonak & anyone else with a good TTT train still!
Those hilly stages might not be selective so the TTT looks really importanto.
Just getting in the break at Palm Classic is the goal.
Croatia14 - With your squad you have to be thinking of the top spot in CT, eh?

Excellent idea with that monthly preview. Not sure about adding videos, maybe only add them vary rarely for: 1) phenomenal racing, 2) the defining moments of a monument?

Copa America Results posted.
I also made videos, which are not of good quality. I also decided to capture the screen for the videos while the race is still running so you'd see the interface.
I will remove the video from the result post again in some days, but decided to add it so you can watch it with suspense.
Also Palm Classic is already raced.
First picture:
Sagan with a crash very early in the race. Following sub top sprinters involved as well: Debusschere, Ewan, Richeze, Enger, Van der Sande
And the video:
Sagan is back in the field though.
Result post will follow later
Depending on the view numbers for the first videos I'll decide how many more I'll make. It's not a big amount of time I spent for that, as I only have to turn on the video software.
Also glad you like the previews. Those are also quickly done with the files I have and some copy pasting.
Well, that's our season, if you were needing Appolonio for autographs we will be at San Sebastian beach having a year-long fiesta.
Spoiler
perfect start for us, major Zabel
Seriously though, watching the footage great last gasp sprint from Dion and top drawer lead out from the boys in black - specifically Alex and James put in so much they ended up outside the top 40 behind what looked like the entire VW team
