Okay, so I'm just saying this needs to return. I've read through this entire thread tonight, and it is just great!
And it definitely doesn't need to return because I need to sue it... I mean maybe it... okay, it does, but that's besides the point for now.
My story is quite funny and still ongoing. I'll get into it tomorrow. I just figured we should restart this, since I've already been asking for a lot of advice and such in the Daily Skype call.
Enlighten us!

Oh yeah, about that.
My story actually sucks now that I think about it. Also, I've never seen a girl outside of school and I'm forever alone. That's the real story!

I meant actually hung out with a girl, or even had their number, though I have had Skype. Of course I see them everywhere, they're half the population.
Ehh, maybe I will tell the story of my little saga later. It's a bit hard to describe in full as it's kind of just life with some funnier things and a lot of long Skype talks.

Hey, I said maybe.
I'll tell the Chocolate Bunny story, cause that's the most important of the bunch.
So basically, I've liked this girl for about a year now. At the time we were in all the same classes because I guess we're both pretty smart. I became good friends with her, but only school friends. I never contacted her outside of school or school related things like projects or band.
We get along really well and I figured that I was 15 years old and had never made a move on a girl - now was the time. I had gotten quite a few of what I considered subtle cues she might like me too, but nothing conclusive. My original plan was to buy her a carnation in the Valentine's Day thing they do at my school but then they skipped it last year. And I wasn't confident enough to make a real move; I didn't want to take the risk.
So instead I waited. Sometime in late March it came up in conversation that her favorite holiday was Easter. So I hatched a plan. Every year on Easter, I got to my cousins house, and my Aunt gives all of us chocolate bunnies. Well, I detest chocolate, so usually I take it to be nice and it rots in my cabinet for a few months until my sister eats it. i decided that instead, this year I would simply give the chocolate bunny to her, and used it as a sort of maneuver towards asking her out.
Well, I went to my cousins house, but unfortunately, this was the year there were no chocolate bunnies. I figured that it was best I buy it anyway for it to mean something, so I went to the mall and bought a chocolate bunny for 5 bucks. All was ready for my to face my petty fear.
Well, I went to school Monday ready to give it to her... and she wasn't there. She was out for some reason. maybe sick? Well now it would look weird if I kept it for an extra day just to give it to her. Or would it? Wasn't that the point of it all?
Well, I did keep it, and the next day I brought it in again. We were sitting in the classroom during a small free period when I finally got the balls to do it. I turned to her, and as I sweated through my clothes, took it out and said the great words, "I uh.. had this.. umm.. chocolate bunny from...well.. do you want it?" And the response I got was a "No" with a grossed out look on her face.
Well, after this, I panicked completely. My eyes darted around the room as I blushed. I turned to my buddy who had known about this, and asked him really quick if he wanted it. He of course, being a great friend, said no, leaving me quickly asking random people around the room if they wanted. Eventually, a kid came up and said he would give me a dollar for it, so I took the money and gave it to him, having lost my dignity and four dollars on the chocolate bunny.
Well, I later learned that the reason she was out Monday was due to a stomach bug which was still bothering her. So I hypothesize that the reason she declined it was:
1. She thought I was asking if she wanted it right then and there, and had an upset stomach
2. She didn't understand at all that it was at all romantic in nature
I am certain number 2 was correct, because she hasn't acted any differently since at all. It would have been awkward if she had thought it was. We still talk a lot in school though we don't have as many classes together this year. I don't know what I'll do. prom is this year, so I might ask her when the time comes, if I have the balls. She's pretty much as much of a nerd as me, and she's never had a boyfriend, so i don't see that being a problem. But you can never be sure.
Anyway, that's the story. Comment as you wish.

Thanks for the good laugh.
As a stranger on the internet, my advice. Just ask her to prom (don't over do it, just get her alone and ask genuinely). If she seems weirded out by that at first, then say you can go just as friends so you don't both miss out on the experience. Considering you don't think anyone else will ask her.

I wouldn't say a complete waste of time, but it is true that you have many years ahead and no need to rush.
Some advice I was once given: If you think you like someone but still have difficulty talking with them about it, take time to figure yourself and your emotions out. Sometimes when we like someone we paint a picture of them as a perfect being, but we need to think objectively and see them for who they really are. If we still like them, then whoop-die-do, go for it.

Alright, cause the responses here are always amusing.
Situation: I'm in my second last year of high school (aged 17). There is a girl (16) who I have liked for a bit and she knew this fact and effectively friendzoned me. Yet she still puts in the effort here and there to meet up which I appreciate. Second girl (18) has finished school a while ago and lives close to me. We kinda had a thing a while ago but drifted apart. I think she likes me but not in a less serious relationship way. Thing is, I don't really like her in that way and can't cause of the first girl. But I don't want to make her feel shit and want to still be friends with her, but if she likes me need some advice as to how to let her down being friendly.
Secondly, senior ball (prom) for me is next year but quite early on and was just wondering what would be the best time to ask a girl? Obviously I don't plan on doing it anytime soon but would like to know what you guys think.

Disclaimer: My opinions come from someone who couldn't be much less qualified to give advice, but here goes...

Firstly, this is fair enough if you did want to ask her, but at the same time you shouldn't feel pressure to do anything you're not comfortable with just because of your age.
Anyway it seems like you read the situation pretty well. It's likely she (and basically everyone at your age) is feeling a bit confused about how to do this kind of thing and that's perfectly normal, so I'd say doing something like what Mre suggested is a good next move.
Of course if it was me, I'd probably be too much of a wuss to do anything about it. But that's an entirely different story altogether
To LLS - If the situation with girl 2 comes up, just be honest with her and as you said, try to let her down gently. If she doesn't want to remain friends after that, it's not your fault

Ok....lets post my very small story here...
I go to uni by bus everyday, and everyday, when I am already halfway there(busride goes 1h), a pretty sweet looking girl enters the bus. I always wanted to talk to her, but I am very awkward, when talking to strangers, especially to girls.
So last time, I managed to pull myself together. I knew where she exits the bus, so I exited at the same station and walked two meters behind her. I wasn't really sure...should I talk to her? what should I say? So I used the powers of Tony Martin and "closed the gap" to her and started walking besides her.
Then I was like "Hey...", which scared the shit out of her because she didn't saw it coming..."Great start!", I thought and proceeded. "Hey, I think....uhm...you're pretty sweet, and...uhh...I wanted to ask...uhm...if its possible, that I....you know...you maybe get your number....or something similar...maybe?" My pulse was like 200...
She was very surprised...:"Woah....uhm....yeah, sure, why not?" She pulled out her phone andI was very happy. It worked! All these years of not trying, and Trial #1 works! Never expected this...
She asked: "Could you give me yours?"
I broke down from the inside. Thats Trick Nr.17....
I gave her my number and told her to add me on whatsapp. She didn't call/whatsapp/SMS...
I'm not sure...should I approach her on Monday again? Should I ignore her? I don't know...

So a girl you never talked to, you go up and say '' Hi, what's your number ''
That's as bad as you can get ( no offence ) I can't see how you can come out of this, what you asked was creepy as hell so her perception of you has formed, usually I can give some advice like I wrote on Skype, but I can't see how you can move on from that one line you did.
Try some opener again, Hi, can you help me out real quick? I’m doing my senior thesis on the attraction factors between men and women. What do you look for in men?
Hey I need your opinion on something. I'm thinking of dying my hair totally blonde. What do you think?''
Build some rapport with her. Have some decent questions ( mostly opinion ones) prepped so you never hit awkward silence etc.
You're in a shit position though, so I will be very surprised if you can make anything of this.
