I do wonder why you sent Cavendish to both here and to Portugal?
There's hardly any stages that really suit him in either race.
To be fair. Sending Cavendish here is the same tactic I had with Vantomme in 2012...and there he was fantastic...almost...
Well, the race was significantly flatter in 2012

Didn`t mean Tour of Britain only. I mean the whole season, where I mainly had Vantomme for stage races instead of classics to get as many stage wins as possible...in the end I had 0 with him. |

Nice to see Marcel Wyss much more ahead today. Curious if Bazzana could keep the lead until after the summit finishes. Seems hilly stage races a gamble, anyway.
Thanks for reporting, danny and roturn!

Shame we didn't get the same breakaway luck as in the first run, but can't complain too much as my leaders didn't lose any time this way. Thanks for stepping in roturn. |

Was hoping he would raise his game here in his home Tour |

Really a pity that PCM is not really checking team strength for sprint trains but only the strenght of the individual sprinter.
Sbaragli-Krieger-Groenewegen should be a much stronger train here. So it`s bad positioning for Groenewegen and a top10 only.
With Bazzana still leading though I won`t complain. |

Shame the AI messed up stage 1 a bit. Usually it does get better in later stages indeed, so let's hope for that.
And nice sprint by Kenya and Impey.

Great positioning and sprint from Demare to even "trade" white for green now, but that was also necessary with Kenya's 1-5.
I hope Kelderman can pass Taborre and make up decent ground on Bazzana in the TT now while keeping the loss to the better TTers among the favourites within reach for the summit finishes.

Nothing in it for us in the flat stages here, so just good to see everyone safely through that one.
Good win for Impey, haven't had the greatest of seasons if my memory is correct, while Demare continues to impress in this race.

We are unlikely to hold this GC position long so we're just going to enjoy having a rider in the top 10 for as long as we can.
Maybe we can get in more breaks and have a go at taking the KOM jersey which would be a more realistic target for us in this one.

Nice to see Changpad in the break and scoring some KoM points. Kip disappointing as usual. In the begin of the season he still would've gotten top 10s on stages like this, but his good form is long gone. |

Thanks so much for taking this in such a hurry.
Well tbh I prefer the first version of stage 1 better, but that would lead to trouble, so let's all bear with it. Congrats to Aegon and Kenya for their triumphs.

Good win from Impey! Happy he's performing well, maybe a challenge for the points jersey could be on. A stage win will help up top up our pprd here as well, so happy with that. Now for Ben Nasser to start challenging for a top 10. |

Geschke with another top twenty. He clearly upped his game recently!

A lackluster stage 2. Taborre holds his 3rd place GC and 3rd place in the KOM. Rest of the team holds time and position. Boswell and Mehr- Wenige are in good positions but they need to find a spot to attack and eat up the time lost on stage #1.

Not bad from Hoffman. I'll take 6th in this strong field.
Great ride by Impey in an impressive showing by Kenya.

Ah, a good TT from Craven. Slots him into 8th overall - now he just needs to make anotherleap into a top 5 position. Boom was really impressive, he must've had that +4 or +5 daily form. It makes a big impact in PCM 2014.

Absolutely horrible performance from Dempster. Shocking, really.
Good TTs by my other riders. Would have been great to see Olsson in the lead after the stage, but it wasn't enough unfortunately.
Thanks for the report, roturn. This race seems like a good one for you, so far
Edit: Dempster (79 TT) being beaten by Klemme (67 PRL)... I feel like giving up TTs really.
