Bad start for us as our GC guy finished on the rear of the first group and therfor lost a lot of time.
Not that dramatic as we didn't expected a good harvest GC-wise, saying that a rerun could only change it to the better. Losing 90 seconds from a final climb I hadn't even recognized when looking at the profile is hard to swallow.
Looks to me more like a 20 seconds time gap finish with a tough uphill sprint from a Cyanide preset perspective as the elevation is very short.

I just dont get how there were gaps there at all, even if it was 1 second gaps, thats as solid of a pack as I've ever seen in PCM.
Sucks for us if it stays, since our best rider was over a minute down already.

What the fuck? Craven down by more than 1 minute already? Surely this these time gaps need looking into if a gap appears every 5-7 riders.

AMEX-Navigon needs Boswell and Mehr-Wenige both to have steady races here. We are not podium contenders, but we sure could use the points from a top 10 and a couple more point earners.

Stage # Oliver LeGac takes the breakaway all the way to a 3rd place podium. 1st in Young rider, 3rd in Points, 4th in KOM for 15 points in total. Mehr-Wenige is 35th +1'01 and Boswell is 48th +1'25.
They both need to step up.

Dissapointing stage 1 from my team, but what else could I expect.
I'm here for break appearances and sprint results by Kip. Both will most likely not happen like I hope. |

4 minutes to the break is ridiculous. Nothing more to Say about it.

The time gaps are f*cked but this time in a good way
Brakeaways happen, annoying but it's a reality of using PCM. Good news for the riders who got away and bad news for everyone else. Lets see how the rest of the stages play out, in the end it might not matter too much.
And this time Lloyd wasn't an idiot so i'm a lot happier.

This is what I hope as well. While surely being one of the teams with the advantage now, I actually don`t think to stay there. Too many and hard hill stages for Bazzana. Also the ITT. Surely riders such as LLS, Kangert, Kelderman etc. will pass him there.
But if Bazzana can keep the KoM for as long as possible or even the race end, this would be nice. Having the GC lead though is not helping his chances to grab any more points though. |

Still no rider from me in the break but at least my leaders Wang and Jang in the peloton this time. |

Great work from Olsson. With that big gap, he should be able to get top 10, I reckon. Just hope it doesn't mean that my other leaders will back him a 100 %, and then let the team fail, if he were to be dropped on some of the stages.

Actually, I was not complaining about the fact that a break got through. That can happen on all stages and especially on this kind of stages.
I just think that the break should never get 4 minutes. Few seconds like in the first play or maybe up to a minute would be fully okay but I just don't think a 4 minutes gap on such an opening stage would be realistic at all.
Don't remember what kind of stats the lucky riders have so I can't evaluate the situation well but it just bothers me.
Anyway, let's move on. Nothing list yet.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Was not too pleased with the re-run, but it was a good decision. It turned out fine with Fabio Taborre replacing Oliver LeGac in the breakaway and on the podium. Boswell & Mehr-Wenige are in the peleton.
Now that we have the start sorted out on to the rest of the stages.
Taborre picked up 14 points out of the breakaway. That works.

PCM14 at it's worst does seem to be when a stage race starts with a hill stage. Such poor AI that the stage favourites do nothing, and their team won't even chase down the break.
At least what we've seen already this season is that the AI can act as it is supposed to in subsequent hill stages, so just have to hope for that.

I do wonder why you sent Cavendish to both here and to Portugal?
There's hardly any stages that really suit him in either race.

To be fair. Sending Cavendish here is the same tactic I had with Vantomme in 2012...and there he was fantastic...almost... |
