Berhane cracks.. sort of And that is the result of someone following Antons early moves again
Really frustrating that he keeps wasting his energy like this when he is clearly one of the strongest climber in this race, if not the strongest. If Anton just learned how to time his attacks, we could still hope for a stage win and maybe even recover in time to take a podium in the end. If Lofkvist continues like this though, he is definetely the man to beat. Nice call so for Count!

Lövkvist is on fire, nice
Still a long way to go but it's looking a looooooot better now compared to two stages ago.
Congrats Atlantius on the GC lead, for now |

Why does my team always under-perform so bloody much in these GTs? 52 stages with no win and counting ...
Not talking 'bout that stage (though with no top 20 positions in the mountain stages I imagine Iglinskiy is the biggest underperformer of those with 77MNT and above), but in general. Castaneda not getting a sprint train here, which would have been a great one with Mansilla and Reijnen, is just farcical and sums up our toilet of a season down to a tee. Remember Contador. Remember Contador.

Well done Atlantius, keep it up and more than 200 points could be on the cards! |

Popovych keeps being strong, great ride! As expected, Kononenko is falling behind a bit, but still 2 men in the top 10, as I had predicted beforehand

Great to see Löfkvist like this, another epic stage win. Congratulations, viking90!
Rather surprising to see Berhane not only get gapped by Löfkvist, but also by a lot of other contenders and thus dropping from what looked like a solid GC lead. Definitely makes the race wide open almost halfway through. But there's no doubt the soon to come MTT will be of great significance, and considering Berhane's climbing stat, it looks like a good opportunity for him to strike back.
Thanks for the very nice report as well, tsmoha! A pleasure to read through the them. |

Tremendous couple of stages for Lovkvist! I guess not even viking himself would have dreamt of such a performance. He sits in a pretty comfortable position now!
Chernobyl still holds a prominent position as well, while Project Africa also as 2 riders in the top10. But things are revolving in a daily basis. Great show!
Reis keeps silently climbing in the GC too, which is great. Oliveira and Vinhas also in the top25, which could come in handy at the latter stages of the race.
Touché!
Thanks for the beautiful reports, tsmoha. Great SS, that one in the gravel road summit!

While the gaps on the Mt. Washington were surprisingly small, the 10th stage could be the neckbreaker for our GC hopes.
Still happy that one of my guys (Schuler or Hollenstein) is out there in the early break on every second day.
Nice twist in the fight for the tour leader jersey, would be nice if it stays exciting until the final days.

Big congratulations to my fellow CT-manager Atlantius. What a race for Anacona!

Such a cool race and brilliant reporting as ever from tsmoha. Berhane's thrilling time in the lead is over and now a great battle between Lovkvist, Anacona and Anton I feel for the win.
Two chronos certainly favours the swede.
Van Heerden managed to take one stage - not really that great but quite a nice competition there.

One bad stage, sure, but a bit much to suddenly rule Berhane out of it.
He's still the best climber in the race, and surely can't be as bad as in Stage 10 again. Lovkvist winning mountain stages really doesn't help, given he will gain on the Flat ITT. Still hopeful that Berhane can win the upcoming Mountain TT though!
Going to be an interesting battle for sure.

Sorry for my abscence the last few stages, I don't currently have Internet at home so have just played catchup on the last roughly 6 stages and will be playing catchup when I can get internet access for the near future instead of being able to comment every day like I used to be able to and wish I still could.
Anyway, Zardini's stage win was magnificent for us, that already makes the TOA a success and one of our strongest races of the season.
Zardini is doing alright on GC and will hopefully gain some ground back again on the next hilly stage. It would be nice to get into some of the breaks and get some TV time but don't want to ask for too much.

How long before Soupe gets a stage win? He's getting closer and closer, it's gotta come eventually! Robov again with a great ride in the breakaway.

10th place is our best stage finish so far (exluding TTT), but I know it could've been better if the gap was just a little bit bigger

Kreder top 5 again!
Can't wait to see how Lövkvist can climb the MTT on the next stage against mostly Berhane and Anacona. |

So close. So close.
Reijnen! So close to our first ever GT stage win. Still nice to see our first podium from a break this season, though it has taken over 100 stages.
Cabrera, though! This Tour of America is going dreamily for Mobil, they must have 100 points already. Dall'Antonia, in particular, is really eating something else this tour.
Mansilla, 71HILL - 77/SPR - 78/ACC, nowhere. Why? Castaneda wins the minor sprint for intermediates but finishes 20th. Why?
--
Secret hope has got to be that all of the pure sprinters miss the time limit and Mansilla wins the last stage then.
More breaks please. |

Only fuck Raúl.
This is beyond incredible. 4 stage wins?! I couldn't have dreamt with this. Can I please erect a statue to Tiziano? I just love him. What a rider. |
