Great stage from Anacona. With his acceleration I can't expect him to win if there's anyone else in the group, so 2nd place and GC advancement is nice.

I'm really so impressed to see some good racing here. Augustyn and Stetina are working really well in tandem (much better than what I was expecting tbh). Now all I need is for Jacques JvR and Stetina to climb into the top 20. If we can keep this up and Augustyn can somehow hang on to a podium, this tour would be way more succesful than I could ever have imagined!
Not really a suprise to see Berhane take the stage. Surely he'll go on to dominate the coming mountains as well.

Not even in the top 40 after the first mountain stage... What a waste of a rider. God damn it. |

Carapaz in the break is nice.
Fruitless racing from Anton unfortunatly, but that is to be expected. This race could have been so much better.
Congratz to Eritel nonetheless, they're in for a banger, definatly deserved considering their team.

Same problem for Anton...

Be positive: we got into a break! That happens only once around every 10/11 stages for us, so it has to be celebrated!
Other than that a dire showing, stages like that will clearly not see us challenge for a stage win here. So we will go 3 GTs with no wins ... UNLESS .... Castaneda comes out on top on stage 8. I reckon he will be done for after about stage 10 so this is his final chance, our final chance. |

Hmm... really wasn't necessary for Penasa to try to go with Anton that early. Wonder if he could've been with faster groups if he hadn't wasted the energy. As a young guy these are the lessons to learn.
With the first week in our résumé is still positive, we've worn each leader jersey, at least for one day.
Thanks for the steady and entertaining reports, tsmoha!

Berhane looks dominant just like SN could have wished for. We're still in the beginning, but he and Anaconna are so far delivering consistently.
On my side, I'm hoping Reis becomes more active in these stages. He's steadily climbing on the GC, but if he could be in the midst of the fight for the stage win in one or two MTF stages, tht would be ideal. Would also love to see Vinhas become relevant.
Thanks for the reports and their pace, tsmoha. Top job as ever

Superb from Berhane, more than I could have wished for!
I wanted 'stages' from this race, and that's now the 2nd. Looking forward to seeing how it progresses from here, both for my team, but with the back and forth amongst the relegation threatened teams too.

No drama and apparently Dahlberg even gave the sprint a shot. Obviously no where near Cabrera et. al. but cool that he tries.
All-in-all a good stage for us.

This race is now going about as bad as possible, Quintana seems to have forgotten how to climb, and that is followed by Farrar forgetting that he is a sprinter. This race is quickly getting me ready for next season and some serious turnover in the team roster for the GC races.

Soupe keeps picking up those stage points, and is getting slowly closer to a stage win. Robov out in the break was nice as well. Lets keep trucking boys!

Very nice from Ramos Ticona, showing some great spunk for two stages in a row. Finish too hard for our sprinter with that positioning, stage win out of the question now here by the looks. We were never going to get our top 5 GC goal here, but it will be very salty at Bonsucro HQ if Iglinskiy can't drag his carcass up into the top 15.
All of a sudden it doesn't look like the team will score another 20 points this season.

Golovash in the break, sweet!
Mobil might not have the best race GC wise, but oh boy is Cabrera making up for it!

I really wished the break stayed out, then Duggan would have had a shot at victory
Haga, I warn you. Don't let that Hollestein guy get too close

Orlov and Golovash!
Ulanowski lacking a train hurts him here, sadly... But we're a GC team so he should not complain

Again?!
Aaha nice to see Cabrera back to his good old day in the saddle. I'd like it better to see the stages being more split over the rest of the riders, but seeing how Mobil have had it with their GC leader, I think it's rather nice to see them winning yet another stage.

Pedraza beeing complete and utter garbage compensated by an incredible Cabrera.
I think I'm making a statue to Tiziano outside the HQ, the boy is beeing the best team-mate ever here. |

Nice to see us still active as long as our breakaway guys have something left in the tank when these groups start surviving.
Fonseca cherished what might have been his last chance in this race. He did a good job and is ambitious to make it to make it to the final day.
