And of course Bole comes back to his normal mode doing nothing on that stage.

What a sprint, killed it! Was getting worried after the break went over the final climb that they'd hold on, but thanks to Strava and a ridiculously strong Langveld they were brought back.
Kruopis needs all the bonus seconds he can get, if he can limit his losses tomorrow then he may be able to hang on to a top 5. Regardless, he'll hopefully be able to shave off a little of his deficit in the final 2 sprints through bonus seconds (here's hoping).
@matt: I wouldn't worry too much, I still think you and Strava will fight for the GC tomorrow.
@jph: Sums up my thoughts from this season. Kinda comparable to non-MG EBH from a few years ago; not the fastest, best over hills, fittest or best TTer in the division, but basically a jack of all trades. Makes a terrific CT leader. Wouldn't have thought at the beginning of the season that our highest pointscorer would be our sprinter.
My pick for tomorrow is Boaro, and I'll go with him for the GC too. Surely the TT will decide the winner.
Thanks for the report also!

Nevermind, I don't regret not bringing Der, Stachowiak really should've attacked there... Also Sobota not sprinting and Morkov not doing much, today wasn't much of a day for the team, but we really need points...
Next stage I hope for Tennant to win, just in terms of keeping us in the promotion fight.
Thanks for the stage TMM and congrats Eden.

Kruopis killing it!
Eden - I don't know, I think the top 5 is the minimum you can hope for, he could top 10 on the stage. The TT is only 17 KM long, so the prologue stat probably comes into the picture which will be a help. Though he will need to have a good day, +5 good! |

Nah, prologue counts for nothing on a 17km stage. Only comes in to play for a stage below 10km.

Actually Cyanide explained said it has an effect till 18 kms, so I wouldn't be so sure

Well in the 7km prologue for the Tour, TT was a lot more significant than Prologue, so what do Cyanide know

I guess the TT will answer those questions then, one way or the other

Didn't TTs rather leave questions than giving answers this year?

Nothing stage from Sodexo, and to be honest I am expecting this to be a nothing race as well!

Another meh stage. We realistically couldn't expect much, and the team lived up to exactly that.

Tennant let us down and he's not even on our team. Guess I can't really complain Congrats Matt though, and Eden on Kruopis keeping the jersey.
The longer this race goes on, the less likely our promotion looks, we'll need some luck for the rest of the season if we want to promote...
Hoping we join the break tomorrow, maybe Varhanik/Stachowiak can take some mountain points and take the KOM jersey. I've also raced a bit near Mt Macedon, so I've probably ridden some of the hills next stage.
Thanks for the great report TMM.

Ignatiev and Kasa delivered a solid time again. Couldn't hope for much more. Now just get over with this race..
I'm looking forward to the last hilly races already

Still Top 10 goal within reach so that's good.

2 stage in one day?
Nice win for Boaro and two on the podium Generali!
A better ride than expected from Kruopis, fantastic ride. That should hopefully seal the top 5 bar a disaster and possibly the win, but the race isn't over yet. Hope he can stay consistent over the next two stages as the faster sprinters will come to the fore.
Thanks for the report TMM.
