Points is points and i shall not complain about what Soupe is doing, actually i'm quite happy with his first two sprints. Not much else to say really... Petar didn't get dropped is another extra bonus.

Wow, the team is really making the most out of these starting days! Smile
Nice move by Hollenstein on the second stage securing the KOM-jersey for at least two days.
More than surprised about Fonseca. He already had a few good days this season, but we didn't imagine him to get a podium in a PCT bunch sprint. Well, despite it might be due to the special conditions and way stage 3 developed.

Tough luck for Sauber again! As we follow our Swiss mates a little closer we can say they are really struck by a huge amount of bad fortune this season. Both prospects (Zardini and Alizadeh) already with a more than two and a half minute burden on an early stage like that leaves a deep scar for the rest of the race. Chin up, guys!

Excellent day for us with Farrar taking 2nd place! Several of my climbers missed the split which should give them a solid chance to look at breakaway moves over the coming days as well. Feel like the team set themselves up pretty nicely so far.

As always great reporting from tsmoha!

This is mixed feelings. Frown

Cabrera wins the stage (I love you Tiziano), but Pedraza looses 2'40'' almost... Fuck.

So close for Barton on the prologue. With a podium already we've basically exceeded any expectations.

Now for some breakaways please

Fuck these random splits. I was lucky enough not to see my leader among those losing time, but this is always troublesome for many managers.

Anyway, congrats on that partial win, Miguel.

+~-. Well we have to be content with that place, given the wind, though considering I rate CastaƱeda the best sprinter for pan-flat stages in the first week of this GT, on paper, a 5th place and a 2nd ain't cutting it, another second place on stage 4 would be most welcome though.

-- At this stage last season our GC hope had abandoned, so compared to that this is going amazing! Nice not to miss the split, chances of a top 10/15 increase there.

viking90
As expected anonymous flat stages for us, feel sorry for you guys who got caught behind in that split glad now of my riders where there.

Also nice seeing Haugard on 2nd in GC now, collect some minor points.

Marcovdw
GC ambitions (if there were any) now gone...
Tolleson improved to 107th Frown
No one in the front group Sad

This is gonna be a long, long race for us. Thankfully tsmoha is pretty quick with the reports Pfft

It's nice to see your race starting well with the opening stage win and the early KOM lead. The split did cost us as Hofer also lost his chance to sneak a day in the Youth jersey thanks to that split but if only one of us gets good luck this race I'd rather it was you as it will be more important for you to get a good point haul, PCT standings wise than it would for me to get one as I've not really got anyone within striking distance and am effectively already down.

Zardini and Alizadeh both dropping time is disappointing but Rohregger and Zoidl both kept up there and Awang is actually sprinting and not getting dropped for the first time all season.

If Zardini is going to lose time on flat stages I hope that makes him more aggressive in chasing stage wins on the hilly ones and maybe gain some time back there.

I'm guessing Rohregger will now be seen as my GC leader, at least temporarily, although it would be nice to see Zoidl's all roundness get him a stage win somewhere or a shot at chasing the KOM jersey.

61st, first top 100 for Tolleson. Slowly improving...

Meanwhile, nice to finally see a Minion joining a break. Now if of those could remain ahead of the peleton that would be our only chance!

Stop picking the COC train! Still, Soupe is doing fine and bringing a slow but steady stream of points and only just missed a top3 there. Keep it going buddy, your time will come for sure.

I wrote, aiming to Van Heerden:
Will be interesting to see if he can pick at least a win however I'm currently doubting so.

lol

Heartbreaking to see Castaneda second again, hopefully he can make it better in a later stage Wink

Thanks for the report tsmoha Smile

Nice win for Van Heerden here in a very good sprint.
Also Ulanowski 3rd after Suparman leadout is impressive...he probably could have followed every other wheel and he had won though. Pfft

SportingNonsense
That's more like it! Still a bit crazy from Van der Sande but with Granjel Cabrera flopping and Suparman not being the fastest, Van Heerden was still very well placed, to make the sprint itself matter. Nice to have a good celebration shot this time too, thanks tsmoha Smile

Almost my entire team finished in the Top 30. Some encouraging riding there.

Really!? Cabrera has already picked up more points than Pedraza would have got for finishing 4th in the GC, which he probably wouldn't of been capable of even without losing time there. So, no fuck. Yes, celebrate!

---

I hoped for second, at least, and that is what we got! So close again but we will gladly take those points to take us over the 1500 mark! Great.

Matt - I don't know, think a sprint win is now out of the question with fatigue coming into it after tomorrow. Our best chance now lies with the TTT, otherwise no win is on the horizon.

Miguel98
And that wsa back to normal Cabrera. Pfft

That was a finish that suited Tiziano much more, but obviously, PCM can't figure that out...

Margh Norway
Another nice move by Hollenstein to keep the KOM-jersey for another day. We discussed this option as it is very likely he won't be accepted in a stage 5 break, because he's one of the best punchers of the race... not saying he won't give it a try.

aidanvn13
Croket drifting around there. 9th is better than nothing. Just waiting for that +5 day after a mountain stage and his 81Rec is actually of any use. Grin

Despite none of my guys making attempts at the breakaway thus far, at least the South Africans can cheer at Van Heerden.

Suparman is doing quite well to be honest, he's not a sprinter by any means Pfft

Ulanowski could've won stages here if I had brought Polivoda or Vaitkus, but I didn't, so fuck it.
