Another really good month and we are coming on strong at the end the problem is we are going to run out of races and it's basically all riding on Boily and Bellis having mega races in Beijing and Japan to although us to gain enough to move into 7th the aim at the moment based on PPRD |

Awesome month for us!
Our quite optimistic top 10 goal looks suddenly achievable if we could end the season in style!
Will be fun seeing the full startlist for Tour of America havenĀ“t even try guessing the GC guys riding there.
Thanks for the update SN! |

Beyond doubt August was a good month for us regarding our own results... unfortunately most of the competitors were even better.
ToA won't solve our problems. The already dropped names of participaters shows some teams didn't even recognize it as a domestique race. Cheaters!
Penasa may run in somewhere between 5th and 10th spot, which won't translate in a great harvest PPRD-wise. Goal must be to stay within striking distance (not more than 200, 300 points behind) to the teams a lot more dependent on a successful Tour of America (ONCE, Euskaltel, Mobil - Aeropostal, Children of Chernobyl).

Feeling a bit bad for Vontobel. Di Maggio should have been enough to be safe from promotion.
That's nice. You can ask LLS if he would be so kind to go a little easier on Di Maggio. At least in Canada and Japan.
It's still a little early to call the Di Maggio obligation a disappointment, he can still fulfill the 800 pts plan we had... though it isn't likely. Maybe the Italian classics (Milano - Torino and Giro d'Emilia) will save his (and our) season!?
Thanks for the update, SN!

He is the man who wasn't there!
Thanks for some good vibes but if things continue on in the same vein I can't see us scraping 200 more points this season. The question is whether a total of 1650 will be good enough to avoid relegation. |

Happy a poor race in Austria was balanced by a good race in Portugal, meaning that now we should have no more poor races I am fairly confident of promotion for the first time with the disbandments. Hopefully in our final couple of months we can finish it off!
Happy to see Evonik still going strong, would be great to go up with them after the season they've had and the gap from 6th to 7th is still relatively large in the PPRD.
Interesting to see the battle at the bottom getting interesting too, but I think Vontobel will be comfortably safe considering the amount of RD they have left. |

Nepomnyachsniy finally shows how good he actually is, lifting my team out of trouble for now. Popovych and Kashechkin have the task to keep the team there, and then Prevar can hopefully finish it off in Bejing and Torino.
But to be honest, I can only see us coming in 26th or 27th, which would suck, but then I'd have an amazingly fun season in CT...

But it is relevant to know (SN also mentioned it), that if Venchi doesn't relegate (They are currently 10th) there is likely to be 6 promotion spots, as the Venchi manager is inactive. As far as I know he is the only inactive manager from the PT though - Much unlike last season.
EDIT: Ohh nevermind. I thought you meant from PT to PCT - My bad. But I guess inactive PCT managers are also likely to get kicked out, thus creating room for additional promotion spots from the lower rank.

Yes but that doesn't help sutty avoid the drop, though |

I know, sutty asked about relegation spots though which should stay constant regardless of disbandments this year. |

Only 1 year have they been 'saved'. In the year before they received promotion, in much the same way that Eddie Stobart did last year.
No team has been 'saved' two years running - Armavia/Compal were saved one year, but not the second time. I don't think there will be so many PT/PCT disdandments this year, so it's likely that the bottom 5 will all go down.

Bit of an exaggeration, I know but it probably applies to sutty more than me, considering he isn't to far behind the others, while I am in the middle of nowhere
Being back in CT is meh, but I'll survive, we should have a chance of winning more i guess

This could've been a disastrous month for our title chances, but it turned out quite ok. Still, our PpRD did fall by 1.1 points. Combined with the fact that Aegon went up 0.6 points and BPost 0.8 points, we now have a very tense race to the finish on our hands. Aegon is less than a point away!
The good news is that the always dangerous Kenya and Evonik have finally lost some velocity and no longer seem to be a threat for the title.
Looking at our remaining calendar I think we have a decent chance of lifting the trophy. There's 8 races (25 RD) left, 5 of which are lead by Monfort in good terrain, 1 by Kangert that suits him well and 2 by Veelers. The Veelers races are our Achilles heel, but overall it should be possible to score at least 660 points in those 25 race days. If we manage that, our PpRD wont drop any further, giving our rivals a tough challenge to overtake us.
Looking forward to a spectacular finale!

Goddamn i didn't get saved, it was the CT saved from facing my super awesome team
And this year we won't need saving either. We are going to survive all by our selves, no charity needed. Well in the fight and i think more in control than some of the those around us given the remaining schedules

If you are in the middle of nowhere then where are we?
don't forget we are still behind you and will probably stay that way until the end of the year unless something amazing happens in America.

Wait, is this some secret reporters forum info, i dont remember Venchi being rated as sure disbandment (not that SykkelFreak is active enough you know), so it will probably end that way.
