Personaly, I hope they do get into trouble. We had a PM agreement about two riders and after I put it up, he decided he wanted to go for other riders instead. I know he didn't do anything wrong technicaly since PM deals aren't official, but it is very annoying compared to the very nice and sportsmanlike negotiations I had with other players. So yeah, I know Episode1 is new, but I do feel I should give this warning to the other managers about making deals with this guy.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

So you have to calculate the Transfer Fee + Wage before making a deal.

Saw Boom's wage wrong there, it's 1165.
And 440 (220+220) for Arashiro.
So for 13 riders he has 2585. Still a potential issue there.

Okay on to the next round of the transfer season: Round 2 of Free Agent Biding.

This round works exactly like round 1.
On top of that it's now also possible to sack riders. You can sack two riders at max. For the first rider the fee will be half of the riders wage for the second rider it will be 3/4 of his wage.
If you want to sack a rider, just go to the table sacking and put the rider ID in column A. Just copy columns A-B in the end and send them to me or tell me which riders you sacked by PM.
Some teams need to take a look at completing their development team. These teams still need to sign riders for that:
Filliers - Mora Pro Cycling Team
Sugoi - Xanterra
LA - Antarte
Celesio Pro Cycling
UNHCR Pro Cycling
Smartone Cycling Team
Leopard - Evonik Pro Cycling
Team Renova
Santos - Euskadi
Sevilla Cycling Team
Team Taco Bell Cycling
Festina - Canal+
In the end you'll have to have at least 8 U23 riders with an average of 72,0 or less. The combined wage of all of them has to be at least 1000.
There is one option though which can reduce that wage by having a minimum talent focus that is:
<1000 20
<900 30
<800 40
<700 50
and so on.
Since there were discussions about having a different part 2 of FA biding, I thought that we may try out a different system for this round. This system would be a open biding on the riders that weren't signed in the first round. In that biding only teams can take part that had a bid on a respective rider in the first round.
What do you guys think? If the majority wants to stay with the old system, that's fine. I don't really care which one is taken.  |

I'm for the old system but I don't mind the new one either.
One thing that's not clear to me in the new one is who is allowed to bid on a rider. If someone min bids on Stybar and another two managers bid 1500 each are then all three allowed to bid in the open round?
Also I would recommend to set a deadline for this round right from the start. Most teams have a leader right now so it's not that hard if one misses it and we don't need this to drag much longer than necessary. I would recommend two days to send the initial round two and one day for round 2.2 . That should be enough.

Are 23 year olds eligible for the dev team? otherwise I need 1 more I think.
Not looking great at the moment, budget wise but I'll pull through, even if I end up signing some pretty average riders.

Like in the old system only teams that are 80% within the highest bid would be allowed to enter round 2.
@trekbmc: You're not in the list, so you are allright. 23 yo riders are eligible for the dev team. |

I don't mind either system to be honest. I should be slightly biased towards the new one but I don't really care: there are valid arguments on why we should both use the old one or the new one.

Don't think so 
Thing is that in most cases round 2.2 does not require much changes. but 1,5-2 days are also completely okay. I just wanted to put up some pressure that we don't have to wait another week for the next round.

I'd agree with Tamijo there, 2 days for each stage should probably be the minimum time given.
I don't have any problem with the new proposed system, but it's just easier to keep the old second-round bidding for now I think.

For me personally, having at least 2 days is the only way I'm guaranteed to even respond. I'm pretty busy with university and cycling, and here in Jamaica you never know when you just might get a power cut. A 1-day limit could mean I'd just flat-out miss the round.
@knockout Maybe you're referring to last season, which of course I don't know about, but at least this season more than half of my bids in round 1 were contested in 1.2, and when the US is your main focus, there isn't a great depth of riders to choose from, so I gotta take what I can when I can.

Thanks Bikex, round 2 underway!
A few things:
1) It says Prorace have 1545 budget left (It should be 1590 by my making). Through transfers we gained a total of 420.
2) Do you think it would be better to separate the main team from the dev team in future budget lists? I do. It can get a bit confusing when it says UNHCR Pro Cycling only need to sign 1 rider when actually they need to sign like 10! |
