Bloody hell, what kind of parcour is that Team Time Trial. Narrow as a ...., that is not fun trying to get a 9 man team up to speed....Angry

Team Trial should be all about speed from start to finish IMHO

Forever the Best
It is a shame that the stage is neutralized in terms of GC

clamel
That's a joke, man. Starting a Grand Tour this way.. scandal.
However the place is nice, and lots of fun as I remember it.

Actually not strange they neutralized it, since it's a crazy stage.
erhaps they should have added water as a surface to the rest of this collection. Make them start on water-bikes Smile

Why not make it a triathlon?

Have you seen the upper body strength of a pure climber? Poor guy would never be able to swim to the shore.

Not entirely sure how sad I'd be about Froome needing a life jacket to not drown.

Spilak23
Is it the time from the first rider that counts?

baseballlover312
There's a stage in a GT, that just doesn't count, but they still ride it.

What the hell is this crap.

Lotto NL rode it, the others - hard to say.

I hope for Sagan to ride on a fat bike over the beach or something. We need some excitement.

cio93
This is basically the team presentation.
And I'm paying exactly as much attention to it.

Spilak23
lol at the team cars popping up everywhere along the road Pfft

SSJ2Luigi
damnit, was exited to see the dutch people complaining that more teams weren't as serious as Lotto NL while the last few days they were complaining that the TTT shouldn't be raced Sad

murao22
Why Sagan accerlated before finish line? Because he doesn't want to be second. - joke by Polish Eurosport commentatory

Gustavovskiy
Plenty of teams have tackled this stage as a proper stage, recording some great times. I think this pretty much shows this stage could have been used for the GC. The major risk factor here is the size of the teams. 9 is too much imo, so they could divide the teams in two parts like they do in the Settimana Coppi-Bartali, iirc.

Anyway beautiful location

I don't know where they're taking the time, but it definitely doesn't look like it's after the 5th rider.

Spilak23
Terpstra doing his best to show what a prick he is once again

Spilak23
Why did all these teams that took it easy start with their TT bikes? Makes no sense. You take it easy to avoid risks but not going with the safer road bike.

Choklets
This TTT would've been the perfect situation for presenting the bike sponsors' cyclocross bikes.

Froome displayed his supreme lack of bike handling skills again...
