Sorry for not commenting 30+ celsius here in Spain and I just can't get myself to sit on the computer (and commenting on the phone is a nightmare). Not much action from my team, kinda suprised with how Phinney seems to be imploding. If somehow Monsalve can climb into the top 10 I will be happy. Main goal however is the same as earlier, stage win. Not looking likely though

Phew, almost looked too late. Fantastic to get a 2nd win and make this a more successful race for Swift than last year! Zabel so very close to a big win there though. One more day until the sprinters can all give up.

What was the point of me sending Bennati here when Cunego can grab me 12th places every sprint stage.

One flat stage left and then Gesink will be back in action. And with the stage rated as hilly, it should be some very entertaining action.

Good to see Dyrnes try on the third stage in a row, but we could use some "fresh" legs in the breakaway if we're going to steal a stage that way, so hopefully the other domestiques wake up and go for it together with Dyrnes.
Sensational stuff from Zabel, but Swift proving strongest in the end, just like you would expect, really. One final chance for those fast men before this Vuelta is heading for a brutal final week.
Thanks for two more reports today, tsmoha. |

Watching the train form and then Cicero fail away...quite painful now to watch it, hopefully break takes tomorrow and then he just goes home soon lol
Great reports across the board Tsmoha

Penultimate flat stage Guerao shows up randomly suddenly deciding to sprint. A bit of a naff 9th but yeah I can be happy he has shown.
Has it been a bit windy perhaps and he don't want his hair messed?
Anyway Swift just and I mean just getting up. Mohs still menacing one more head to head tomorrow hopefully... you know you never know maybe Guerao?
Then GC battle recommences!

Oh, nice sprint by Howard, so close to even a stage win! Congrats to SN, nice win for Swift. And big thanks to tsmoha, the pace of quality reports coming from you is absolutely impressive!

Wow, that's a shame... Would've loved to see Hoelgaard winning this stage, especially as he's enjoyed a part of his development at the Privatbank team...
Now back to Pluchkin's hunt on Tenorio, should be a good battle I guess

What a leadout by Becherovka.
Howard leads out Howard leading out Howard.
Nice win for Bouygues. Roelandts showing that he is capable of winning after this Giro. |

Three very dissapointing stages for us. Putting Koretzky in the breakaway made sense, but as always we hit the wrong day.
Tzortzakis was shit all three days.

Classic stuff :-), 6 major stages ahead of us now, really looking forward to see how the race will evolve from here.

When a break of 8 went clear I figured that was it for the today, so to end up in 3rd is a good result. Unlucky for ember as Hoelgaard should really have won there, but congrats to Crommy for Roelandts finally delivering with a top sprint after nearly 2 GTs of 'trying'.

Well congrats to Crommy for getting his lottery numbers come up.
I am very disappointted again with Guerao - it has been a horrific Vuelta by him. I would have been satisfied with a couple of good goes at a sprint. I have to in the end be happy with a 9th and 19th. Just abysmal.
Enough of that - now switch to observer mode should be fun GC battle I think.

Roelandts, you beauty!!!
I think this may be the first stage of a GT where he's had a good leadout, and it pays off. Especially pleasing given he was awful in the previous stage

He listened well, didnt even try today, good man Cicero.
Nice attempt by Waytens, no points, but thousand times better than the usual leadout, be at the front, Cicero fails shit.

Noo... Hoelgaard. We were rooting for you young fellow. Terrible way to lose. Hopefully he will get another chance to win a GT stage in his career.
