BiciCiclismo had an interesting piece on Neil Stephens in the wake of the Amets Txurruka news.
----------------
It will be interesting to see what Movistar do, however, they have a knack of doing well despite some of their financial limitations (compared to BMC & Sky). They already got beat to Amets but they'll probably scoop off the cream from the rest of the (remaining) Spanish teams again and the Colombian conveyor belt sure doesn't look like slowing down anytime soon.

Could be mentioned before but didn't see it yet. Colombian Jhonatan Restrepo as a stagaire to Katusha. Already racing in Burgos.
That meams FDJ, Lotto, LottoNL and Giant are the only 4 WT teams left without a Colombian.

Read that Unzue wanted to slim the team down to 25 from 28 for. That means with those aforementioned leaving (G Iza, Malori, Intxausti) and 100% Gadret and most likely Lastras retiring, they need to sign at least two. But I think a couple of more will be leaving - Anton fx. who hasnt done jackshit, honestly, for 2 years. Lets say one-two more will leave, that puts riders leaving at 7/8, while needing to sign 4/5.
One of those is already in place: Jorge Arcas. Only information on him: just turned 23 and apparantly won 10 races in 2 years. No clue what type he his. Already 23... looking forward to see him tho.
Then there is obv. Urán. Could be a good leader from Giro and other races Quintana and Valverde dont take part in. Would like to see him on Movistar for the next 2 years.
Landa hasnt been confirmed still I think by Sky. Obviously a no brain-signing if he is up for grabs, but I doubt it. Sky seems 90% to get him.
Then there is the spanish and columbians of lesser teams. With Quintana already getting a deals for Anacona and D Quintana, I would expect one more talented columbian climber to join.
Then there is Caja Rural: Barbero, Madrazo (has been at Movi before), Parra (columbian climber which is taking part in the Vuelta) and some other names. Could see them signing at least one for that squad. |

Looks like the Malori news was a mistake https://www.ciclo21.com/movistar-ficha...tro-bajas/ "statements to Luis Guinea of the Diario de Navarra. It was initially cited to Adriano Malori in the information, but Italy national time trial champion will continue in Spain, as it has rectified the author of the information."

Thanks Strydz.
Edit: Thats very good news. I love Malori, such a good rider. Also, their new signing seems to be best at climbs, but is described as an all rounder as well from Movistar.

It looks like, if everything goes well, Adam Blythe will be going to Tinkoff - Saxo.

He had a two-year contract offer from Orica, but he chose Roompot. Good choice if he wants to ride for his own chances instead of being a domestique in almost every race. |

Yeah I totally agree. He's 34 so if he wants his own chances then he needed to make the move, I think it's a good move and he did a great job for OGE

Roompot said that Mouris won't be signing for them, his management said he already has signed for a team so we should hear about it in a couple of days, I can't see it being any higher than a PCT squad.

Promising climbing talent Laurens De Plus leaves LTS u23 and becomes a pro with Etixx next year, while LTS is eager to sign Victor Campenaerts (TSV, TT talent). |

Ouch, Etixx is taking revenge since Lotto u23 always signed the talents from their youth team. |

I'm done with Cycling. Fuck this.
Edit: Actually no. Fuck him. I hope he crashes just as much as he did with Garmin and wonders why his team support won't help him then. This is all good. Just more chances for Dombrowski to shine and get better leadership opportunities. Fuck traitors.

you want him to become a rider that stays forever with one team, never changing and become a rider with results like Gesink (perhaps bad example after this year) or Boogerd or insert dutch rider here because dutch rider usually are that stupid.
