Hard to begrudge a win for Oz, but really? Can't chase a 3 minute gap on a solo rider with 50km to go?
It's a good stage for the Points jersey for Swift, but that won't count for much until he survives all the mountains.

Congrats to Oz, big win for Gillet. Most likely the "hills"/mountains took the power out of the domestiques.
Tbh I expected Zabel to win the sprint when they couldn't catch him, that has seemed to be his thing earlier

Pity for the sprinters but after no luck for Oz in the Giro, it`s a nice win for them in the Vuelta. Shame that tsmoha picked the wrong win goal. |

Gesink on the podium after one third of the race. But I think this was the part of the race that suited him the most so I guess it will be very hard to keep that place on the podium.

Let the GC-battle begin, Kritskiy lost 4 minutes in the first week, but with still 8 Mountain stages and 80kms of ITT I hope he can bounce back. I think we have a really good team around him to back him up, also these riders can turn easily into stage hunters, if Kritskiy doesn't get better soon.

Nicely done there Tzortzakis and Paillot. Too bad Tzortzakis has to share 3rd place in the pointscompetition, also Paillot very close to the KOM jersey there which would have been amazing.
Both of them will drop down now, but it always nice to see the riders try.

9 points pr. day. That is a much higher average than I'm currently bagging...

That's quite a team Tinkoff have brought here. I guess it won't be that easy to land those team rankings.

Sadly one of the main well known "features" of PCM14 AI.
Calm stage from our point of view, Pluchkin still being attentive with a 10th place at the finish. Now the real fun begins.
Congarts Tsmoha, finally a GT win you were searching for, thnaks also for the report!

Great to have two stage wins already! Phinney is in a good position before the mountains. I hope he can continue to perform on the same level in the other two TT's. That will be needed as I fear he will lose a lot of time in the mountains.

Guerao not bothering therefore no begrudging stage win for Oz there.
Actually some life from my team with Chamorra going for mountain points. That said KoM is a bit of a distant aim, still pushing from pack for it is encouraging if one of my few mountains guys tries to go in a breakaway in the mountains.
Actually after my own teams disappointment quite looking forward to the mountains. Pluichkin really could do with doing something to justify his favourites tag and shrug off the Pou Pou tag.

Strange AI, but happy to see Oz take a stage win home!
I'm really looking forward to the mountains, and i hope Tenorio will be able to deliver this time (as opposed to Tirenno). I guess the big climbers (Pliuchkin, Tenorio & Amador) will need to hope for the big time gaps if they want to defeat Phinney, especially with still 80km TT remaining.

Abal was incredible in the TT! I'm starting to think he's that kind of riders from PCT that only perform on the PT races... Why he doesn't do that in our "important" races!?!
Shame in the following stage he lost almost everything he gained in the TT. Now I expect him to slowly accumulate loses in every mountain stage...

Another safe stage, which is good. Hopefully we'll start to join the breakaway again now when the mountains are here.
Thanks for the report and congratulations, tsmoha! A surprising win as well seeing how the stage went, but as Heine said, you must suspect the hills in the middle of the stage was too much for the designed domestiques on such stages. |

Yay, tsmoha breaks the streak! It looks like some of Bonsucro are seriously injured, if they didn't fall on that stage. Still in Contador we trust and we are after ......
Too much too ask? |

When your GC leader has outsprinted your sprinter on every flat stage so far, but one.

Really poor for Gesink. And this was one of the easier mountain stages. I guess top 10 will be the goal now.
And with him here, I doubt any of my climbers will go in breakaways so there goes my hopes for a stage win too.
