Jesus, congrats rjc, this is going down in management game history.
Bakelants finishes with a podium, his best result of the campaign. He's always been near the front, but I honestly expected better from him, so it's been a disappointing week

Astonishing to see Ponzi take all three, a top, top rider no doubt, but to be this dominant - definitely a career defining purple patch!
After getting back up to PT pace at F-W, Klemme delivers a fine 13th place, certainly justifying out wildcard inclusion. Hence managment very pleased - hopefully his good form will continue in PCT where we really need him to deliver consitent high placings and associated point-scoring over the next few months.
A flavour I'm noticing in a number of PT races is the surprisingly good 'mopping up' point scoring performances of Ayubowan! again demonstrated here with Gautier leading in the front bunch with Kadri backing up. Most, if not all of us predicted that with there national focus and significant wage underspend that they would be rooted to the bottom of the table all season long. Now it looks like they could be this seasons 'little engine that could' goodwill story that put up a plucky fight to avoid relegation - chapeau!

Yeah Ayubowan! has done really well, but I still suspect that they will struggle compared to the competitors. All of them have a decent GC guy that is likely to have a good Grand Tour... If they are still close to survival after the Tour de France they might make it!

That was insane. To win four races on the trot is just incredible. To do so in four different races is even more so, especially given the depth and quality of puncheurs out there. I had hoped one day to win one of the Ardennes with Ponzi, but maybe only on a single good day, and perhaps after more training. To do the triple? Incredible. Amazing. Epic. It's a whole 'nother level stuff.
To have all the congrats too? Well, that means more. So thanks for that, and thanks to Ponzi for pulling through!!
I'm just off now to do a banana dance.
Enjoy the congrats mate, fantastic Ardennes triple pulled out of the sleeve, epic!
Thanks for a nice report Tsmoha, also congrats to 2pilak for also pulling a triple of 2nd places. It sucks he was not one place better in any of the races, but still fantastic results given his hill stat. EBH with very lame Ardennes, it shows how frustrating a race can be when you are not on the good side of dice roll.
So, can i see Pluchkin soon, actually riding in Metinvest colours?

Dissapointed by my own team (again) but can't be anything than amazed over Ponzi's results here. Ardenne-tripple, and just when we thought noone could challenge Bewley for the top rider this year

I have to wonder what his wage demands will be after this

Fantastic result. Gautier saved his best until last, and Kadri continues to massively overachieve - such a shame he's so old for a rider just maxed, as he could be fantastic with some training. Great week for us, 283 points over 6 race days gives us hope for survival for a little longer. Thanks once again tsmoha and huge congrats to rjc!

That's true, but it does come with a slight bit of hope. If Pinot can top 15 the Vuelta and Elissonde top 25 the Tour - with both picking up high placings in the U25 competition - then I just need Vanderbiest to perform at Qatar level in both the Vuelta and Tour and I might actually outscore a few rivals. Plus I've got a fair few stage hunters at hand in both races, so it's possible we could just scrape through. |

I really hope you will! The PT needs 2 very french focused teams I think. Bouygues and Orange also have that focus, but neither of them have their team devoted to french leaders in the future, like Festina and Ayubowan!
I will be following your results closely at the Vuelta and hope you can do well!

I know that. But that is it. Ayubowan! has built the entire team around french leaders. As have we for the coming season - I just need my riders to develop first

On paper, Ginanni belongs between 5-8 best puncheurs in game. Plus in Roche, he got one of the best domestique during Ardennes week.
Results?
Amstel - 18th
Fleche - 8th
LBL - 12th
Sick.

Sorry mate but screw Ayubowen .... Once they could not get their French man they refused to try and get next man. Giving up on PT pretty much. We shall see though they are getting bits and pieces of nice results. Actually training was pretty good and right guys in right places.
I guess this is opposite to real life though French teams all full of love rather than hurting each other!

Yeah I know. I was unhappy with that also, but that's in the past, and if a french team with 1mio left in wage cap can survive the PT, I reckon that is quite an achievement.
I don't think Festina will stay french forever, so it is nice to have a few teams focusing on french riders in the best division. And for now I have the best talents anyway, so I don't mind other teams being there
The team having Sicard will close or relegate anyway
