Not going even talk about Sagan because Ponzi is much bigger overperformer..he's only 82 hills for goodness sake...Froome doing better in 11th..but still...he just seems to be missing something all year...but fulfills the goal at least..
EBH though...ouch

It appears 16th in Amstel was the good result. Continuing to go strong with 29th & 30th!

Haha, It's great when riders listen to instructions.
I can take a 7th with the team performing well. Got to see Young in the breakaway and even Barrio was up there in 22nd. I think (off the top of my head) that might be his best classic result this season.
As always, thanks for the report.

Ponzi aiming at the Ardennes treble! Big congratulations on another win, rjc!
And I just don't get Boasson Hagen. I mean, he got dropped by his own team mates when they accelerated to catch Van Garderen, it's just depressive, especially when this was a win goal.
It's another horrible hilly classic from him, and it adds to a somewhat shocking statistic, as last year's LBL and Fléche have been his two only decent hilly classics in total in 2013 and 2014, which says it all, I think.
One final chance in LBL, which is also a win goal, but we probably need a miracle to make it work there seeing how AGR and Flèche went
Thanks for the report, roturn! |

Ponzi looks like he's on a mission to achieve the Perfect Ardennes' week. EBH seems to have had all his energy drained to Sagan somehow. Those two are clearly the opposite of each other. Bobridge continues to follow the top15 rule imposed by his manager. Bakelants wasn't on his day either.
As for us, I'm very pleased to see Machado on one of the moves (didn't even remember he was here ), and to see him and Costa almost achieving a double top20. Tremendous day for the team really.
Thanks for the report roturn

Ponzi!
Sagan
Bobridge fine enough. He seems to just hang on, which is boring, but I will take those two Top-15s so far. Could have been way worse.
Bewley Monument triple.. Ponzi Ardennes triple? Who knows?

Also Festina will surely be happy with Spilak. Not wining yet but getting big points for the team.
I'm just curios: whining or winning?
Forgot to say thanks for the report!

Yep I am very happy with 5th there. Let's whip it out for the boys...
Certainly as Skiddy Pants beat former teammate Gassy Ass to the line. Behind Trofitruffle, Spewlack and Poncy and of course Saga-Wan Kenobi. But we don't have the force with us of course and still Skujins is putting together a really decent Ardennes campaign.
Meanwhile Hagan is having a Mare - WTF was that from him? Caught taking a piss, somehow?
Sagan forces all other below 80 hill leaders to whinge - tbh if you have one of these bots you can forget top 10 and then you roll the dice. Unless you are Sagan of course

But both would suit. |

EBH was shockingly bad there while Sagan impresses again! Great race, very exciting down to the finale. And I guess with the way things have been going, I have to be content with Schumacher cracking the top 10.

If you only look at the hill stat then sure, Froome is a massive underperformer and Ponzi a massive overperformer, but looking at the hill stat Spilak is also a massive overperformer, and I would say that apart from the hill stat the resemblences are quite limited.
70 70 82 67 77 73 72 51 54 75 68 71 67
76 73 82 68 77 72 76 68 76 80 77 74 68
Froome is +1 resistance, every other stat Ponzi is better. It levels up to a total of +51 not including stats such as TT, Prologue and cobbles.
Sure Ponzi is a lucky bastard for winning both races, only the top top riders like EBH, Trofimov and Bakelants should be able to do that, but he is the next in line after those riders imo, in terms of strength.
Back to topic:
Koretzky and Pichon did horribly today, but getting 10 or 20 points doesn't make much of a difference. 2nd from Spilak is another massive performance. Just sad that Sagan (or should I say 4agan) keeps doing wonders. Congrats to Roman though! What a fantastic season. I know he is often mentioning Howard as a super underperformer, but truth to be said Howard hasn't done any worse than most other sprinters. Instead Bewley and Sagan have done FAR beyond what could be expected, aswell as several of the "shitty" domestiques getting 10-20th places allover because they are helping Bewley. Just an amazing season Becherovka is having themselves. I absolutely believe they are the winners after this season.
Vesuvio doing decent, but not great - We are doing much better, so I guess we are looking at 2nd after the ardennes unless Vesuvio does well above us in Liege-Bastogne-Liese.
Spilak, however, is the new 2agan. Looking beyong the first race of the season he has been racing 4 races (2 stageraces and 2 classics). He has become 2nd in both. So I guess he should be called 2pilak by now

I dont get why my team is never in the breakaway if we are just going to suck when it comes to competing with the race favourites. I think we've gotten into the breakaway about 2 times this year, and it paid off with a Kinoshita win one out of those 2 (or very few times).

You have to be kidding me. 4agan ♥ And I thought it would be amazing if Sagan would only at least tried to attack in this race... Absolutely amazing Ardennes campaign so far. Even better for rjc and SotD though, congrats to you guys!

Wow, congrats again to Good Energy!
And not good enough from Jan, I expect a top 3 in LBL, or this classics season goes down as a complete failure

I certainly saw this one coming, Ponzi is just looking great this season.
EBH is a disaster. Jan should be doing better. Just a typical MG result.
Great report Roturn!
