Ah that was disappointing. Still great move from Albert. Thanks for the report!

Intense stage. I'm glad it was ridden properly. Trentin's victory is a surprise, imo, but that should be seen as a terrific result for Risa! Congrats.

Ferreira at 65th is rather disappointing tbh, even though we weren't expecting much. It looks like the hill stat was more relevant than the cobbles after all. Did not see that one coming.

Anyway, looking for better times in the flat stages, so here's hoping.

Decent stage for AMEX-Navigon with Baugnies (15th) and Breschel (16th) both still in contention and De Haes still with them also at (21st). Kurth was dropped, but maybe now he can jump into a breakaway.

This is going to be a fun race to see it unfold. Wide open as far as I can see, but guys like Kump and Trentin could just be steady enough to make a serious challenge to the pure cobblers.

Anonymous stage from us, as expected.

Good stage for Evonik. Few time losses to the front which means everything is still possible for Boonen.

There wasn't much to like from Geschke but this performance really was great. I have no idea how he could keep up with that group but it's awesome that he did. It could turn out to be a strong GC finish by him as well!

But one question remains : How can we let Albert join the break. It's not acceptable on a stage like this!

Normally one should be happy with third, but that won't be the case for us. That was Summerhill's stage to win, and he didn't. Was really hoping to see him be more aggressive and attack the field on one of the climbs, but it never happened and led to this disappointing result.

Now we need to find ways to get some time in the four flat stages, and with Boonen within a handful of seconds still, I think this race has become his to lose.

Thanks for the congratulations, guys Smile Super happy with that performance. Would have loved to get two more seconds, which could have done it easier to keep Boonen and Haussler away. Still, Steeurs and Trentin should both be high up on the GC, if everything is normal the next days. Looking to be a very good race for the team.

Went as expected for us, though the fight for the stage win was thrilling.
At least the gaps should be big enough to not let leave us scoreless. Doubt the teams of the elite sprinters are allowing anything the coming days, but there is nothing wrong in trying.

I sent Bellis here on a gamble that with race days left he may manage to make the front group and he has come soo close here with 5 of our guys finishing just behind the front group I cannot be dissapointed hoping for either breaks or Bellis to take a tough stage win

Nice to see Visconti active. It didn't pay off, but I guess it helped him to finish somewhere behind the better sprinters here. Dropping down the GC is to be expected, so it's just fine to see him attacking alongside those big guns like Summerhill here.

Boonen should do better now, I guess. Also a few others of yesterday's leading group could grab a few bonus seconds somewhere. I'm just hoping for Visconti to finish somewhat in the near of the Top-10 to maybe defend a Top-15 in the GC Smile

Thanks for the reports today, FD/SN!

That kinda was the point.

Meh 11th... When Vantomme launched his sprint I thought Avelino had his wheel, but no...

Another great victory in the sprints for Karcher, what a year they've been having in the flat terrain!

Also, Dear guys fighting for the GC, MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS, OK?

Great to see Trentin picking up some more bonus seconds. Haussler was always going to be strong on a stage like this.

Was worried when the GC-guys started attacking there, it was a thrilling report! Thanks FroomeDog/SN.

Cataford making the correct move of joining the break and picking up the KOM jersey at least it's not a 0 pointer

Right idea from Summerhill, just couldn't make it stick, hopefully we try the same thing again on stage 3 with better results.

It was important to stop these late attacks but they propably caused the disorganisation of my leadout. A shame that Boonen was boxed in but what Geschke did the best out of it.

Another interesting stage, quite a few sprinters disappointed there. Avelino by now should be no surprise I suppose and Mr Curse Cavendish nowhere near the front.

Still Trentin is producing a bit of an 'Arashiro' here - just all over this race.

So Boom is my sprinter... Pfft

At least this is good for his GC position, where he hopefully can keep his 10th.

Would be nice to see Krieger also sprinting though. Scheit hopefully with another attempt to get the KoM. Unfortunately the team did not send a stronger rider than him.
