 Deutschland Rundfahrt 8/8 (Fantasy race)
Deutschland Rundfahrt (Tour Pack)
Notes:
a) Download is heavy due to the added zcts-files (180 MB)
b) Stages are covering a lot of ground and are build on large maps, expect long loading times.
c) Time Gap and gene_f_Mountain are tweaked on occasion. Use stage info within the editor if you want to make changes yourself.
d) Stage 6 ends in the German region: Baden Württemberg. Sadly it is impossible to chose (auto switches to preset: France - Rhone - Alps), because of the known issue with special letters. Therefor Rhineland Palatine is picked as the closest region to the finish line.

Let me say that this race is just amazing. The 1st stage blew my away. Those smaller details with IBs, not only close to the parcour, but a distance from it. That's what makes a complete picture.
I say that at least that this race is a pure joy to tackle.
But mate, would be even happier with the zcts-files of course. Then this stage race can surely be used in future versions too.
Hm perhaps some narrow roads could be put in instead of those 4 lane freeways, which I can do with the zcts.
It's a touch and go how much the AI is tricked or disturbed with more narrow roads. As I said before even in RL cyclist are put off and left out when they get blocked in the back of the peloton on narrow roads.
The narrow sprints also creates some realistic bottlenecks IMHO.
To be honest I miss that very seldom (if ever) you get a big crash at the business end of races in PCM.

Hi Margh!
Your stages seems stunning. I cant use them yet, because i use a older pcm that im nearly married With. But after the bugs a fixed in pcm 15 i will buy it and use Your stages. Cant avoid it any longer.
I saw Your post on artic race, hope you consider once more. They are not riding to Nordkapp this year. But i dont know anything about stagemaking so i dont know how much work it is or how its done.

Thanks. Will take a look at the xml the coming days.
You can find the zcts for Deutschland Rundfahrt in post 201 of this thread. Just download the tour pack, zcts are included.
If you liked the first stage you may be interested in the Niedersachsenrundfahrt I made for PCM12. Back in the days I over-exaggerated the detail thing, guess I had too much time back in these days.

As far as I've tested (just single stages) at least the AI of PCM15 made a step into the right direction and the stage editor has improved, too.
Still tend to resist making the Arctic Race, but may test if it is within dem-range this year. Would make a huge difference if you can work with gpx-files and will be a lot more likely any stagemaker will do the job.

But of course I got your Niedersachsen, together with roturn version. They are in my DB, and both are great. Let me point out you got some narrow roads in yours, he-he and I don't mind of course
Still it's a very nice addition of this old race. Enjoying it.
And heck yes the 1st stage on Deutschland and 2nd in Nieder got some similarities. Perhaps more so
I can't say you overdid any of the stages. All stages need that extra umph in forms of IBs close and further away from the parcour. It gives the race atmosphere, which is important.
A great stage is not how steep a climb is, but how it looks close to a real stage in real life

Thanks again. Had a quick survey of your graphics thread and it appears you're doing a great job. Nice to see you've made leadershirts for Deutschland Tour, too. Would be cool to see you transfer your work into PCM15.

Thanks, clamel. Finally was able to test classification file for Deutschland Tour and it's working great. Was a tight race for the KOM jersey, the winner just scored 14 points. All seems spot on: very likely a pure puncher will win the race, but not points or KOM jersey. Love it!

Glad you liked my XML, and yes I got the same results. Kind of much better than Cyanide standard xml to be sure.
I know I said it before, but I heard that they KEPT -20,-10,-6 seconds on stage races in 15 version. Good God, they better wake up. It mess up a tight race, that should be a close run (like this Deutschland).
I better get those leader jerseys for Deutschland ASAP !!!!!
I see if I can get an update on XML this weekend. Adding some smaller races that pops up in FCD and Tour de Suisse made some changes on Points.

Thanks Margh! I think my work is working on pcm 15. I post my jerseys With plis for pcm 13 and older and without for pcm 14 and hopefully for 15. Is there a change between jerseys in pcm 14 and 15.
My thread is in formum pcm 12. thats only because i started With ld shirt but moved quickly to hd size.
But maybe you just meant moving my work to the forum for pcm 15????

Correct me if I am wrong, but since you got the zcts files a little work in the editor makes any old stage almost perfect for any new version. At least it has been this from pcm11 onto 14 as far as I have seen.
That is why the zcts files are 100% important in any DL, even if they are big in MB (but who cares in todays fast internet)
Then I have some thoughts that since 2015 stages works with 2014 version, why not the other way around.
Do test them and you might not even need any editor to upgrade.

It doesn't seem to work. All the stages are Plouay when I check it ingame.. |

Thanks, the stages of Deutschland Tour are fully compatible to PCM15, no need to convert. If you want to replace the actual Tour de Pologne name the stages like they're called in the cm_stages-folder (recommend to make backups before overwriting). --> "top_pologne_01_2014" and so on
You can make 'em a variant (that is played first) by naming the Deutschland Tour stage files e.g.:
"top_pologne_ 01_2015" and so on.

You must be very careful on the naming/spelling BOTH in the DB and in the folder. Seeing the Plouay stage is 95% sure you got some mixup in the naming. I can be almost certain that it is not the stages in this case. If you got an error in stages you will get the correct name and while you load it THEN it crashes.
Like Margh says don't miss out on that final addition _2014 (or anything) since you leave it you get Plouay

Finally got the 2014 NC's repaired that were crashing post race. Links are updated, stages are tested and working for PCM14 + PCM15.
