Tour of Southern Africa here...
Spoiler Last year, I made a fantasy Grand Tour based in America..
..this year I will present a new Grand Tour..
..based in Southern Africa!
The initial idea came from aidanvn13, who designed the route as well. An exciting 3-weeks-trip through some beautiful places across the southern states in Africa: South Africa as the main host, but we will visit other countries like Lesotho and Swaziland - with the Grand depart (and first three stages) held on Mauritius!

Good luck and success for the project!
The east coast of South Africa gave me a hard time with working dem zones. If you've planned stages near Durban or Margate (Hibiscus Classic) the gpx may not work... a few km into the interior everything I tried worked fine, again.

Yeah, I had indeed a problem there, too. Same for Mauritius. But I could fix this issue (out trick the editor) by copying a DEM file to the missing spot for those areas It works, if you don't have your actual route crossing this in-copied new DEM sector.
Thanks all. Will start with the previews tomorrow.

Wow... If it's half as good as America we are in for a treat

Stage 1 | Grand Baie PrologueStage 2 | Grand Baie - Poste de FlacqStage 3 | Post de Flacq - Port Louis
Notable climbs | Black River Gorges (6.8km, 6%)
The Grand Depart on Mauritius should make for an exciting trip. The prologue is followed by an easy flat stage, even though we should expect possible crosswinds adding some spice here. The third stage is the first challenging profile, featuring a climb, that may see some pure sprinters struggling. The long flat way to the finish in Port Louis should still see a(nother) bunch sprint deciding over the winner.

Yap. But it's based on the very top of it's DEM file, so the Editor keeps telling there's no DEM file for it.
This solution from lluuiiggii will do the trick though! Just copy an existing DEM file and rename it to the one, that will then be placed at the north of Mauritius. You will then be able to load the original Mauritius map.

Lets hope for some beautiful scenery then.
The South African coastline and The Veld is very nice places.
You got a big task creating this tsomha.
Good luck mate.....

Here you go. Including three stages and a ZTCS file as well. Please note, that those two road races have pretty heavy loading times due to the ocean surrounding the island.
@clamel: Thanks, clamel. Looking forward to your feedback then. Hope you will like it

Stage 4 | Johannesburg - PretoriaStage 5 | Pretoria - DullstroomStage 6 | Belfast - Pilgrims Rest
Notable climbs | Crystal Springs (12km, 4%)
We're leaving Mauritius and heading for Johannesburg, South Africa. Two more flat stages on the menu, with the first featuring quite a tricky finish in Pretoria - just by the the Union Buildings, which form the official seat of the South African government and also house the offices of the president of South Africa. A short climb close to the finishing stretch may lead to puncheurs trying a late attack.
The next and longest stage of the whole tour is then followed by the first hilly (rated) profile. Pilgrims Rest as the destiny and with a quite long, but not too steep climb close to a downhill/flat finish, this may not be the toughest profile, but could still offer a chance for first serious attacks on the GC.
