I'll put the fix in a new post, rather than editing the first one again.
Gazelle weren't given their full points from Kigali, and it does matter, as it takes them to the top spot. Less good news for Lululemon who had been giving some points falsely - as the correction sends them bottom below Eddie Stobart. Kenya would still top the projected standings.
1 | | Gazelle | 881 | 2 | | Team Kenya Airways | 869 | 3 | | Team Puma - SAP | 837 | 4 | | Karcher-Adira | 770 | 5 | | Evonik - ELKO | 755 | 6 | | Aegon - Lavazza | 731 | 7 | | Prio - Porto | 702 | 8 | | AMEX-Navigon | 644 | 9 | | Eritel - Sonatrach | 561 | 10 | | Siam Cement - Lenovo | 557 | 11 | | Team BPost | 521 | 12 | | Grupo Nutresa | 500 | 13 | | Bonsucro | 498 | 14 | | Euskaltel-Air France | 491 | 15 | | Bank of Ireland | 488 | 16 | | Swedbank-PEAB | 453 | 17 | | Mobil - Aeropostal Ciclismo | 453 | 18 | | Risa - Ergon | 388 | 19 | | Azteca - NBCSN | 379 | 20 | | Team TomTom | 369 | 21 | | Buff - Polska | 368 | 22 | | Project: Africa | 313 | 23 | | Team Vontobel | 312 | 24 | | RBC Pro Cycling | 299 | 25 | | Children of Chernobyl Foundation p/b Nemiroff | 267 | 26 | | cycleYorkshire s/b ASDA-Savers | 201 | 27 | | ONCE-Eroski | 165 | 28 | | Sauber Petronas | 148 | 29 | | Eddie Stobart Pro Cycling | 123 | 30 | | Lululemon/Bulgaria Blackfish | 113 |
Some changes to Individual rankings too:
I always welcome queries on particularly points totals - good way to check that there's been no errors.

To begin I am shocked by the classification of the team, neither in my best projections could imagine such a good position for the team at this point of the season.
Kupfernagel is the chief architect of this performance,he has surpassed all expectations and I hope it can continue.
Although we are the 7th team with the most race days we still have many races where we can shine and continue to win enough points to keep us at the top half of table. I do not believe that we can finish in 6th position as the ranking predicts, but the relegation seems avoided, and a place in the top15 is not to rule out.
Bank of Ireland and BPost are to me the disappointments so far while my team and Kenya Airways are the biggest surprises.
Finally a big thank you to all who have made it possible the speed at which this season has followed

So most of my worst race lineups are out o the way (Tachira) but with the completely ruined cobbled races and absolute inconsistency from VDB once again I am actually already thinking that I may not promote.

Some teams really doing well here, some teams way better than I believed (not like that dosen't happen every year...)
Gazelle really proving the value of depth

Thanks for compiling these numbers, is good to have an indicator for what the first races outcome means ranking-wise. We're not happy, but pretty much where we belong after the events past. Still need to climb to get into calm waters and match our sponsors expectations.
Noticed a few irregularities in the rankings regarding my team.
I counted 314 (instead of 312) team points, but that could easily a mistake on my side, as I e.g. gave Hollenstein ranking points for being 6th in KOM-ranking of Bayern Rundfahrt, just because he had collected the same amount of points as the 6th placed (but were ranked 8th).
On the other hand the individual rankings seems to be mixed up a lot.
These are the points awarded to Vontobel riders:
And these are the numbers I counted:
The Vontobel race results taken into consideration to award ranking points:

About where I thought we would be but looking at PpRD it looks very good!
Thanks for the update! |

Thanks for the feedback.
That is correct for Hollenstein and he did get a point for that. However there were issues with the Bayern file which will be looked into. Mostly seems to be the wrong rider in the same team getting awarded some stage/gc points in some cases. It will be fixed.
There was a small issue with Kenya Mountain Classic that only affected your team - just meant that the points were going to the wrong riders.
With Di Maggio, I think you may have given him 3 ranking points for 5th in the points competition. But actually he was joint 5th with 6th place. 5 points between the pair of them, which is rounded down to 2 each.

Awesome start of the season!
Our transfer strategy was to make Gazelle a large group of capable riders instead of one or two huge leaders and their servants.
It was a risk, but I'm glad to see that it seems to work. It is nicely illustrated by the fact that we have 8 riders in the top 100 at the moment. If an important rider has a bad day or an accident, there's always a team-mate who can step up. Depth -> Consistency -> PpRD
But we'll have to guard against complacency. Our rivals are numerous and strong and staying ahead of them will be a huge challenge.
Cool to see fellow class of 2013 teams Kenya Airways and Karcher-Adira do so well. And very impressive 4th place by newly promoted Evonik.
The pre-season favorites had a relatively slow start. But the gaps are small and they are likely to make a comeback soon.
This is going to be tense.

Sorry about the Bayern problem, seems I missed a rider abandoning which changed a few rider's individual scores. Should be fixed next time SN updates the rankings.
However, I have a query of my own. I counted 143 points from the Tour Down Under, but it seems we have been awarded 146 (the only race we did in January). Could just be a mistake on my behalf but I thought I'd check. The results I've counted are in the spoiler below.
Spoiler Stage 1 | 1st | 20 | | 8th | 1 | | 1st GC | 6 | | 1st Points | 3 | | 1st Mountains | 3 | Stage 2 | 8th | 1 | | 3rd GC | 1 | | 1st Mountains | 3 | Stage 3 | 7th | 1 | | 2nd Points | 1 | | 1st Mountains | 3 | Stage 4 | 5th | 3 | | 3rd GC | 1 | | 1st Points | 3 | | 1st Mountains | 3 | Stage 5 | 1st Points | 3 | | 1st Mountains | 3 | Stage 6 | 3rd | 6 | GC | 7th | 38 | Points | 1st | 20 | Mountains | 1st | 20 | Total | | 143 |

Wow. Those rankings look great for my Evonik lads.
Sitting in a promotion spot and having 200 points to the next best promoted team shows how great the start of the season was.
But i don't have any illusions: This will most likely not continue like that. Aegon and Prio are directly behind me and I cant see myself staying ahead of them in the long term.
My team was in a similar situation last season when we were 3rd in the rankings just to see a slow drop backwards in the midseason. Something which could well happen again this year.
My depth has been even more horrible as expected. 13 Gazelle and 11 Bpost riders have scored more as my 5th best rider (Smirnovs). Riders like Geschke even without a single point! That shows how important my two leaders (and the Down Under Classic Miracle^^) are for us. LLS obviously leads the individual rankings which is awesome. Especially with only 3 starts (12 RD, 30,8 PPRD) and a 6th in a C1 classic as worst result. Boonen as well with good performances in his 4 starts (8RD, 18,8 PPRD). Just out of fun I have calculated the projected points I would get if every rider would keep his own PPRD to adjust to the leaders dependency: 2978. And while this would still be good that still includes LLS massive performances as well as 10 PPRD from Dzamastagic which will likely drop.
But I'll enjoy it as long as it last.
Bpost and RBC are surprisingly weak with TomTom going far under expectations as well.
BoI also a bit below where i expected them but i think that will change as soon as McCarthy gets a few more RDs. I dont think he had many so far.
The expected teams are already at the bottom of the rankings. This will be a long season for some.
Thanks for the update!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Thanks for the reply. My bad, somehow missed the whole round down thing.
And nice to hear it is taking care of the individual ranking issues.

Yeah, just confirms the great start for us. If we could somehow hold on to a top 10 place all season long, then we will be pretty damn happy!
I see massive changes taking place after this update, though who moves where I don't know! |

Terrible start to the season, as I already knew. The only positive now is that it can only go upwards from(almost..)
Atleast Brajko got lots of racedays left, as he seem to be only one slightly performing according stats in my team, so there might be hope for a top 20 someday, but I dont wanna be too optimistic..
Didnt really predict the trio Kupfernagel, LLS, and Kwiat to dominate the individual rankings aswell. Also hats of to Gazelle, they're just fantastic.
I feel bad for Bpost, RBC and TomTom as they are the 3 most underperforming teams in my book so far. With Prio as a slight contender aswell, but I expect them to bounce back hugely.
The only hope I have for a somewhat decent season now is that I get 2-3/5 goals complete and top 20 in team rankings, that would satisfie me I think.

Oh, haven't yet commented on this one.
Worrying start for us, to say the least. Hopefully we'll avoid more fluke races like FBD Eire Tour, or Bayern Rundfahrt. Gazelle, Kenya, Evonik and Bonsucro have relly surprised so far, they're going to be a pain in the ass in the promotion battle.
Thanks for the update SN.
