Also I noticed some very unbalanced stats in the regen db, like 67 TT and 55 PRL. Maybe changing some of those stats would be good for the game. Or do you think it'd be better to just keep them all?

Also something that just came to my mind and I forgot adding to the survey from yesterday. Considering FA Bids. Do you guys think open bidding, like tested in the last FA round, last season or the bids by PM were better for the second part of Free Agent rounds?

I'm against changing unbalanced stats. Things like 67TT and 55 PRL will

a) get more even over time due to the progressive amount of points needed to level up. Just test how he would look after 3 seasons with 280 dev points each. He'll turn out much more realistic as it looks.

b)make some riders are rather unique. As long as there are not too many of them these guys can add to the game due to shaking up lists of favorites (in this case) between PRL and TT. People then have to decide how to value those special ones.
e.g. I have a faible for prologue specialists (Gretsch, Grivko come to mind, LNH in MG). If you balance them out a bit more then their value in general raises which would make them uninteresting to me. Just sayin'


If at all i'd change the creation for future seasons but keep those who are already in the new DB.

Your example reminds me though that the Prologue development path needs some redo. Imo a path called prologue should give good prologue (20) gains and not only half of the prologue gains if TT program selected

I'm with knockout on this issue with the stats.

To FA bidding: Mhm not sure. Generally speaking it worked really well, it was just annoying for me to miss out on riders so close so many times in past two seasons. others have had the same problem I think. Thinking about it: I may be for keeping the current system with anonymou bidding.

The temptation to call him Cadel is pretty high but I'll go with Cameron.

I have two Pughs under contract so I need them to have good names.

I like that ICL is different to Man Game with anonymous bidding so would like to keep it despite blowing a load of money on rubbish talent this time, but I have been lucky previously so its swings and roundabouts.

I'll go away today for two weeks. Hopefully I'll have internet some time. If not then doesn't matter much. Signups stay open. I hope to get some more teams signed up after many early signups there are no new teams for some time. I hope to get to ~35 again.
Also keep posting in this thread if you have any more ideas for next season.

Many people have taken part at the survey I posted some time ago, so it's all already shaping up for next season.
A lot were advocating to have research ahead of the season, I was kind of surprised by that, but it will be done that way next season. The maximum recalculation will also be added, but it will probably be expensive. WT stars won't have limitless race days at CT.
Descente Pavee will most likely be removed from the calendar, for the rest I'm not sure yet, Guatemala will probably be shortened.
Races to be added probably: Rio route, CT2 cobbled stage race, Italian late season classics, an U23 African race and maybe another race in Richmond.

If there is anything else coming to your mind that you want to see changed/added for ICL17 now is the time to post it.

Here you also see how riders stats look like after development and decreases for old riders. That doesn't mean you can't send in your development file anymore, though.

How the file works:
#1 Copy columns A-E of your riders out of the DB and post them in the table TEAM in A2. Next to them there will now your riders stats appear.
#2 In the table Statpacks you will find your statpacks. There is a column "ID" post there the ID of the cyclist that you'd like to get the boost. In TEAM the stats will be updated and you can check what changed.
#3 Send me columns B+C of your statpacks out of the table statpacks.

As a little help you can go to the table StatsNew and in columns S-AE you'll see how much points of every stat for a rider are missing to improve the stat by 1.

Something must have gotten screwed up in the way I sent the development... I find myself with Malori with a mountain training and such. That obviously wasn't the idea yeah, my fault for not double checking before sending the PM but I'm completely sure the riders table was fine, only the PM one definitely got messed up somehow, definitely didn't sort anything the entire time myself.

Any chance I can re-send the development?

EDIT: I think the problem is that the Riders ID order got messed up, but the trainings IDs list was still fine, just checked that with the original file and things look like they're supposed to.
