first of all, a big thank you to everyone who sent in nominations for the 2024 PCM.daily Awards. In contrast to last year, there were quite a few, which was very nice to see. The nominations have been tallied and the award threads with the respective polls have been created.
As always, the more people vote, the better the ultimate outcome will represent our community. A lot of very deserving members have been nominated, so show them some appreciation in the threads, too.
Deadline to cast your votes is Sunday, February 23rd, 23:59 PCM.daily time.
Congratulations and good luck to the nominees, and have fun to everyone voting!
Make your nominations for the PCM.daily Awards 2024
Hello everyone,
with another year in the books, it's also time for another edition of the PCM.daily Awards! As is tradition, we show our appreciation for some of the most treasured members of this community, the excellent contributions and efforts that are put into them - both on the site in general and in the ManGame context -, and use the opportunity to take a look back on the year in RL cycling.
Keep in mind that these awards simply aren't possible without nominations and that the more nominations there are, the better the awards will represent our community. So if you can, please do take a bit of time over the next 10 days to put together a list.
As always, you don't need to make nominations for every single award for them to count, but of course the more, the better. In total, there are 10 Site Awards, 7 ManGame Awards and 8 IRL Cycling Awards.
I'm looking forward to this and I hope you do, too!
with the road cycling season behind us, the PCM.daily Database Team releases theEnd of Season update to our Expansion Pack. It includes, of course, our newest rider stats, as well as additional equipment and graphics, race info, removal of many retired or inactive riders and more.
Check the download pagefor the full list of features and, of course, the download link and instructions. And as always, please direct all your questions, problems and bug reports to the Support Thread.
We now turn our attention to the 2025 Database, which we will bring to you early in the new year.
We hope you enjoy our work,
- The PCM.daily Database Team (-Alex-, Croatia14, cunego59, Kiserlovski01, Tafiolmo, Willemaarts)
as many of you will have noticed, this website has been struggling with periodic stability and performance issues for a while now. In the upcoming months, we want to intensify our efforts to place the site on a firmer foundation again and ensure its healthy future.
In this endeavor, we want the community to be involved. As a first major step, we are delighted to announce that AbhishekLFC and UlrichUlriksen are joining the admin team! It goes without saying that both are longtime and esteemed PCM.daily members and we're very happy that they will now lend their time and energy in this more formalized way.
But that's not all. We're looking to activate any knowledge and expertise that we have among our membership. If you have experience with forum software or MySQL in particular, software development and database management more broadly, or if you think you could help in other ways, too: Please feel free to reach out. Simply send me a PM with some info and we'll go from there.
Obviously, it will take some time for more concrete information to be available, but we will of course inform you once the next steps become clearer. If you have any questions in the meantime, you can leave them here or contact one of the admins.
At long last, here they are: the winners of the 2023 PCM.daily Awards! Despite the delay, we've collected quite a few more votes than last year, which is nice to see. Thanks to everyone who took part and a big congratulations to all the winners. Click read more to see the full list of winners as well as the customary banners, which every award holder can now to add to their signature. And additional big thank you to Nemolito for contributing to the write-ups.
