#4 | Addy291 on 02. August 2007 15:32

SN: Directly translated, it's King Stage. In Danish, that's what we say, but it's correct that Queen Stage would be the right translation Smile

I always find it weird that it says the stage is finishing at Alpe d'Huez. But when you ride the final climb, it says col de granon.
#11 | issoisso on 07. May 2008 18:26
fefj: the Alpe isn't that high up nor can it be reached from there. from Briançon, you'd have to go to Bourg d'Oisans first.

However, that profile could easily be the Granon (which was only ever used once in the Tour)

so I'm thinking they made a mistake with the name of the stage.

the climbs are = madeleine ( BC) de Croix Fer (C1 i believe) de télégraphe ( C2 ) de Galibier ( BC) and l'alpe d' Heuz ( BC). do that in a real tour the france, half de riders wouldn't arrive

Well, I guess 1 bottle would be about right.....

#19 | baseballlover312 on 17. October 2011 01:00
Funny how on here, Contador din't get a top 11 in the tdf, and in real life he won. Smile

It can't even be Cluses - Alpe D'Huez
1. Cluses is 110 K away from the top of Col de la Madeleine
2. The Downhill of Col Du Galibier should go on longer to be at the foot of Alpe D'Huez.
