The crew of PCM.daily wish everyone a merry Christmas. Enjoy!

If you're not celebrating Christmas today, here's something you can do instead: Doddy, a PCM.daily member, is arranging a fun day online with PCM track racing, the free game Ski Challenge and the usual nonsense TeamSpeak-chitchatting. You don't need to sign up - the only requirement is that you show up from c. 18:00 CET (which is not really a requirement since you can show up whenever you want to ;)).

I'm very happy and delighted to say that we managed to keep the deadline: PCM.daily's 2009 DB V1 is here!

As we said two weeks ago, this DB is mainly for the people who just can't wait with getting started on the 2009 season. A few teams (not many, but a few) have fantasy shirts since their real shirt hasn't been announced yet, and as you know, there's still being negotiated between riders and teams. With that said, this DB does give you a 2009 season feel - that's for sure ;)

Main features of this DB:
- 69 teams
- 35 new races (compared to the Plus Package)
- 2009 race dates and race categories
- Several races have got their profiles updated to 2008
- 1600 free agents (an estimate)
- New fatigue system (riders fatiguing slower)
- All new 2009 objectives for all teams
- CQRanking has replaced the Superprestige
- New material (although this will be majorly improved in V2 - more about this later)
- Lots of new secondary sponsors
- And more...

Notes:
- If you want to play the new races in Single Race mode, please choose "Custom teams" instead of "Realistic teams".
- Once during the testings, the game crashed on the day of the World Championship. If you experience this, just try again. We didn't experience any game stopping bugs.
- It's not possible to sign riders in the first season. This is unfortunately unchangeable.
- The banned riders are in the DB as free agents: If you don't like it, just delete them yourself. It can be done in 1 minute with CLE-ditor or Hannes Editor.
- Please report any bugs that you may find - thank you! :)

So you thought Fantasy Betting News were leaving you all for good - of course you were wrong ;) It's been very busy at this side for the last two or three weeks, and I only had time to post the cross bets without selecting winners and writing down the rankings, but this should be different in Christmas time. Plus, we gOt some smart user cheating into the system (and earning himself a two-week ban to place his bets as "reward") and saw some users reaching a stable place above 1000 PCM's, which is a good sign for us, since the game is being enjoyed after all :) We're approaching the end of 2008, and thus you must be rushing to get as further as possible on your winnings, since the standings will be turned back to 100 PCM$ for all active users, and the 2009-preseason leader will grant his place in PCM.daily's history, by being the honorifical winner of these three starting months.

There's a lot of activity out in the fields in the upcoming weeks, as Christmas attract fans and organisers to get alongside the circuits to enjoy best crossers fighting for some remarkable wins. World Cup's sixth round in Nommay (France) is held next Sunday 21st, and both Elite and u23 riders will be able to be betted on, starting from Tuesday 16th, right after my birthday ;) Next ones on the program are WC's 7th leg at Heusden-Zolder (taking the spot for Hofstade's traditional round after Christmas Day), in the 26th, SP's Diegem in the 28th, the Azencross of Loenhout in the 30th, and then the GP Sven Nys at Baal in New Year's Day, with Sint-Niklaas closing the Xmas-series (and some route teams showing up their new outfits live, such as Lotto, Vacansoleil and Landbouwkrediet in the last years). Make sure that you don't forget to place your bets for every single event, since this amount of races can always be a lil' bit confusing :) Plus, don't miss the start of the road season - we're starting in the Down Under Classic, just a month further :D
