PCM.daily looking for beta testers
News

Hello everyone.

Everything is going as planned with the PCM.daily 2009 DB. The 2nd beta was released yesterday, but to ensure that we get a as bugfree final release as possible, we'd like to have more beta testers than the ones that we currently have. If you're interested, please PM me.

We're also looking for people who can do minor graphics such as team accessories. Gustavovskiy has previously helped us with this, but like everyone else, his time is limited. So if you can (and is willing) to do things such as transferts, 'jambieres', etc., please PM me.

Thanks.

PCM.daily interviews CEO of Cyanide
News

Today, PCM.daily has published this year's first article: an interview with the CEO and co-founder of Cyanide, Patrick Pliggersdorfer. In the interview, we get around subjects such as Cyanide's financial situation, the 2008 situation, future games - and I can also promise that there's a very remarkable announcement during the interview.

You can read the full article here. However, since we also left out some information in the article, we've published the interview in its entirity. E.g., Storm mentions that there won't be a follow-up to Pro Rugby Manager, a fact that we decided to leave out of the article. You can read the questions and answers here.

Please, enjoy :)

Edit: Please leave any comments in the articles - thanks :)

PCM.daily's 2009 DB V2: Equipment
News

I've been receiving quite a lot of private messages about the equipment part of the DB - which is quite understandable since it's something that we've been talking a lot about, but haven't been "proving". Therefore, I've uploaded a teaser showing the current selection of frames.

(Click the screenshot to make it larger -- you can comment it in the screenshot section)

News

As promised yesterday (or, well, technically, it's two days ago, but since I haven't been to bed yet, let's call it yesterday), I've uploaded some screenshots of the V2. I've based the screenshots on Jaap90's Tour Down Under 2009 with a startlist that I've made myself - getting a total 2009 experience ;)

PCM.daily's 2009 DB V2 - Status Update
News

Previously, I've been posting status updates in the forum, but I've decided to move them to the front page / news section instead.

Last week, I mentioned that 15 teams had been added to the DB. In addition to this list (which can be seen here), the Gobernacion del Zulia team has also been added. For those who don't know, it's the team of José Rujano and Manuel Medina. We don't expect to add more than 1-2 teams extra before the final release, but you're free to come with suggestions to which teams the last two spots should go to ;)

We've also added several (26) new races to the DB since the V1. This brings the total number of added races (compared to the Plus Package) up to 61. We're still adding more races to the DB, so you can expect this number to increase before the release of V2. I've "attached" the new set of races to "Read More".

More importantly, the work on STA_objectif_sponsor_futur has also started. This is the table that controls the future sponsor goals given to teams. Unfortunately, this part of the DB was quite bugged in the V1 release, and we're certainly doing our best to improve this part to V2.

I also promised to get back to you about the 2009 GT profiles. As it is at the moment, it seems rather impossible to get all of them ready for the V2. ASO still hasn't released the necessary details for TdF 09, and we've 'staff' missing for the Vuelta. However, it seems likely that Johan92 will be able to finish the Giro 09 before the release.

Among some of the smaller details, I can say that we've decided to use Arnelesaffer's flags instead of the ones used in the V1 (they were made by Ivancin). Also, we've replaced the race category images (those purple and blue ones) with some much cooler looking logos made by Lampert. Thanks a lot to both of them for contributing :)

The first beta release of the V2 is expected within the next week, and if you're interested in getting your hands on this, feel free to contact me.

I'll make sure to post some screenshots (and replace the existing ones) tomorrow. This way, you can get a look on the current 'progress' of the DB and see some of the new and shiny 2009 shirts in-game.
