New DB screenshots
News

I've been receiving a lot of private messages about more screenshots of the DB. As the Final Beta is being tested, we've made some screenshots for you to enjoy. These primarily show osme of the new equipment in use, and you also get a feel of what the peloton looks like with all the new shirts.

The screenshots are, as always, available from the PCM.daily DB Screenshots section.

I can also reveal that the tests have been very positive so far. We haven't experienced any major problems, and we hope and expect that this will mean that we keep the deadline (start of February).

Few more details about PCM09!
News

In an interview with the recently launched French site, PCM Club, Clément Pinget reveals a few more details about the upcoming Pro Cycling Manager 2009. It's not a lot, but for those who like track cycling, there's good news: Individual Scratch, Points Race, 200 meters with flying start (is that a discipline? I'm not much into track cycling) and a yet to be announced event have been implented in the game.

Another interesting feature is the possibility of creating your own team at the start of a career - something that has been very requested by the community. Other than that, there's not much news in the interview.

You can read it in French at PCM Club. There's an English Google translation of the interview here. PCM.daily is currently working on a full English translation of it.

Database Progress Update
News

We've been pretty silent about the progress of the PCM.daily 2009 DB V2 for a while, mainly due to the intensive work we've been doing on the DB. However, with the Final Beta having been released today, it's time to lean back, watch the bug reports, and in about 1 week's time, fix them ;)

I'm not going to go into depth with the exact features of the DB just yet. However, main features are: 88 fully updated (roster-wise) 2009 teams, 68 new races, new 2009 profiles for Australian TT Championship, Tour Down Under, Tour de Langkawi, Vuelta al Tachira, GP di Lugano, GP de Marseille, the World Championship RR and TT - and the Giro d'Italia! You also get a very expanded equipment part with 77 frames, 67 wheels and 68 helmets. These have been linked to the teams, meaning that teams use the same equipment in PCM as they do in real life -- as far as possible. No more All-Cervelo ;) Of main features, we've also managed to implent 104 track riders to the DB, all with photos and realistic skills.

We've done far more than that, but as said, let's wait with the full feature list until later. Please keep in mind that all specific details might change before the final release -- I'm convinced they will, but only for the better ;)

I've been receiving some private messages about screenshots. With the Final Beta out, we'll make sure to publish some screenshots as soon as possible, probably tomorrow. This should give you an insight to what it looks like at the moment.

If you've any questions, don't hesitate with asking them in the forum. We're also still interested in accessory makers, and I'm sure we can always use a beta tester or two more ;) PM me if interested.

PCM.daily looking for beta testers
News

Hello everyone.

Everything is going as planned with the PCM.daily 2009 DB. The 2nd beta was released yesterday, but to ensure that we get a as bugfree final release as possible, we'd like to have more beta testers than the ones that we currently have. If you're interested, please PM me.

We're also looking for people who can do minor graphics such as team accessories. Gustavovskiy has previously helped us with this, but like everyone else, his time is limited. So if you can (and is willing) to do things such as transferts, 'jambieres', etc., please PM me.

Thanks.

PCM.daily interviews CEO of Cyanide
News

Today, PCM.daily has published this year's first article: an interview with the CEO and co-founder of Cyanide, Patrick Pliggersdorfer. In the interview, we get around subjects such as Cyanide's financial situation, the 2008 situation, future games - and I can also promise that there's a very remarkable announcement during the interview.

You can read the full article here. However, since we also left out some information in the article, we've published the interview in its entirity. E.g., Storm mentions that there won't be a follow-up to Pro Rugby Manager, a fact that we decided to leave out of the article. You can read the questions and answers here.

Please, enjoy :)

Edit: Please leave any comments in the articles - thanks :)
