Update 00:53: The possible solution turned out negative :(

Update, 20:54: We're now testing out a possible solution to the problem. Of course, this takes some time as the problem doesn't appear until 2010, so either way, the earliest release of the DB will be tomorrow. I'll keep you updated on how the test ends.

I know that many of you are awaiting a release today. Unfortunately, this does not seem to end up happening. The thing is that we've run into a problem during the 2nd season; the 1st season runs perfectly and with no problems, but whenever you reach March in 2010, it'll crash after the 8th stage of Paris - Nice. With an editor, it's possible to get past this date, but that isn't really a perfect solution.

We're working on fixing the problem, but we're rather clueless on how to fix it. An entire table was completely redone yesterday in an attempt to fix the problem, but this morning's test showed that it hadn't helped.

Cyanide (= Eyolfur) might be able to help us - time will tell. If anyone else has any idea what the problem can be, feel free to contact me on MSN. Whenever that problem is fixed, the DB will be released.

The German gaming website Krawall has published six new screenshots of Pro Cycling Manager 2009. They don't show anything new, but since it's PCM09, it's always worth having a look anyway ;) In fact, the only thing the screenshots confirm is that there's still no license for Astana's equipment.

Today, we made the last changes to the PCM.daily 2009 DB - and since we had some time in hand, we also decided to add some stuff to it which wasn't planned initially: 4 new teams have made its way to the DB. These are Aisan Cycling Team, Cyclingsport.se (due to the awesome jersey that they have), Subway - Avanti and Verandas Willems.

More importantly, and probably also more interestingly, we finally managed to get the transfers at the start of the season back in! We thought it was impossible, but the P&A DB proved us wrong, and we've now managed to make it work for the V3. Example can be seen here.

Since the DB is now finished, all there's left to do is the final testing. There's already been weeks of beta testing, but due to the last minute additions, I'll be doing some 'long-term' testing to check that the DB also works in 2015.

As announced earlier today, the final version of PCM.daily's 2009 DB will be released this weekend. To celebrate this, and to give you an idea of what you can look forward to, we'll be releasing screenshots of the DB in action on daily basis.
